I guess I don't get why people are mad about how the engine looks, unless they plan to drive around with the hood off.

Some of us prefer to do our own basic maintenance. But since I'm not an F-22 mechanic, I may not be able to do anything with the Bronco.I guess I don't get why people are mad about how the engine looks, unless they plan to drive around with the hood off.
Remember when replacing a water pump meant a $50 part and a half-hour in your own garage with a wrench?Congrats!!! That thing is a beast. I must say that after all the planning and R&D for this Bronco, I still can't believe how that engine bay looks. I can't imagine being a mechanic having to work on it with all those wires and hoses everywhere. It kinda looks like the Star Trek Borg cube ship.
It won’t kill anybody to learn something new, and I’ll bet YouTube is happy to help. Some of us prefer to do our own basic maintenance. But since I'm not an F-22 mechanic, I may not be able to do anything with the Bronco.
Also, one must assume out-of-warranty repairs down the road will cost a pretty penny in shop hours to navigate that bowl of spaghetti.
Well said!!!Remember when replacing a water pump meant a $50 part and a half-hour in your own garage with a wrench?
Welcome to the brave new days of $900 water pump replacements possible only for certified Ford mechanics.
Congrats man, great looking ride!! In all seriousness, are you worried they'll let people crawl on it? I'm a little nervous something similar will happen and I'll go to pick it up couple weeks later and all the plastic, everything is off with people all over it. Maybe I'm being selfish and paranoid but I paid good money for it and I would like to be one of the first to sit in it.Good news: my bronco arrived today, overall impressions- rugged looking, well built, great interior touches, feels tough, very comfortable seats, love the marine grade vinyl, it’s on your arm rests to, 12” screen is awesome, bigger looking then a jeep, shadow black looks way better in person, I’m 6’3” and the hood it up to my chest! Great job Ford! Bad news: I go back to work tomorrow for an 8 day shutdown so I can’t pick it up until the 22nd, pics with my 35” tires to follow next week!
Me too! Was just thinking the same thing.Congrats, looks great! Another example of the stock wheels looking good too.
good luck sleeping, I’d be a wreck worrying about it on the showroom floor for a long week + !
