No, they smashed the glass and must have been smart enough to pull themselves in. They used an old hobo blanket to protect themselves from the glass.
DAMN, THAT REALLY SUCKS ..............

At least it wasn't a soft top and they slashed in that way. That really sucks.

Like my 93 Fox body Mustang....

I only had liability and didn't want to spend the $$$$ on a new top, so I sewed it up, covered it with duct tape, smeared it with silicone, and drove it for three more years.

Oh man, that just made me sick to my stomach. I had a small used car lot at my auto shop, I had to stop selling convertibles because the problem became so prevalent.

Sorry to see this happen to you. Or to anyone. Good luck with the repair.

Hate hearing about your troubles.Hopefully you get it back in shape soon and without too much trouble.

Sadly, this is the world we live in today. Crime is acceptable in many places these days. :(
It’s an unfortunate fact that… wait…

I had this happen a few years ago. Only thing in it was a suit jacket, which they stole. I still find broken glass.

Cameras might help but people in my area will literally flip off ring cams and steal packages with their face exposed.

Maybe just leave the doors off all the time? People are leaving doors open in San Francisco so they don't have to keep replacing the glass.
Can confirm. I live in SF. We mostly just never leave things in our vehicles or keep them totally out of sight, but keeping doors unlocked is indeed another common thing.

I have my Bronco and I'm also nervous about taking it literally anywhere in the city. I tinted every single window, not just for privacy, but to ease the idea of glass cleanup if/when it gets broken into.

What makes it worse is that the only thing they took was my radar detector, which I had stopped using anyway because the speaker didn't work (you'd have to be looking at it).

Several cars in the neighborhood were broken into that night, according to the deputy who responded. A week later, he pulled into my driveway with a punk in the back of his car and gave me back the radar detector. When I asked how they caught him, he told me that the punk and one other guy (both were around 17-18 years old) had stolen a purse out of a locked car and used the credit cards to go buy cigarettes at the gas station. Smart.

Bummer. I used to live down concord ave near fresh pond. Not surprised this happened at alewife. I see it hasn't changed much.

I'm not the one who flagged the post.

But it is surprisingly easy not to talk politics for just a few minutes. Try it! You might like it.
I have no clue what you are talking about. ‘Twas a joke is all. I’m an apolitical 29 year-old..

Sorry about your Bronco break-in?
