My brother and I just completed the front bumper for my Bronco today. I just need to wire up the winch so I can replace the cable with my synthetic line. I put in some BD Squadron SAE running lights and wired them up through the foglight button on my headlight switch. Parking sensors, adaptive cruise all work normally. Waiting on my JCR camera relocation kit.

Wait for the cost. Not even counting his labor - the cost of steel is nuts right now. I built a gate for a friend's 12ft trailer a couple years ago. A friend of his saw it and wanted one. Asked me how much. The same materials have more than doubled.

Very nice work. Did you make a skid plate too or just cut down the OEM one?

Just curious, did you weigh it? Mine ended up way heavier than I intended, I think it was 95lbs...

I just cut down the factory. I have rock rails, rear bumper and roof rack to fab before I start figuring out skid plates.

I can lift it myself. That was the end of the goal. :). It is mostly 1/4”. I do lots of vehicle recoveries, so the recovery points have to be up to snuff, plus I am going to have flat-tow capability.

It is definitely a labor of love with these prices. My brother would build a couple more, but these cheaper, thinner, pressed-plate bumpers are hard to compete with. I just didn’t want to see myself coming and going all the time!

That may be the most perfectly designed Bronco bumper I’ve seen yet, when do you go into production?
I really like to have all the angles just so. There were many hours of reconfiguring things to make the angles correct to me. It was definitely worth it in the end. This bumper is certainly north of $2k to reproduce. Things like the access panels on the bottom of the bumper and such really take some time to do.

Awesome work. I really want a bumper that looks like the Saleen concept. If I had the know how thats what I would build.
