The old Lima or Pinto motors were 121 (2.0L) or 144 (2.3L) ci, though, is the new engine 4 ci smaller?

This is what I went by. So I rounded to 140ci

What will it be made out of and will there be one for the 2.7? Just a suggestion: The 1965/66 mustangs with 289 Hi-Performance engines had that fender badge that said 289 and “hi-Performance” also. I would recommend creating something similar which would make the fender badge even cooler like have the cubic inch size like you do now but include “Twin-Turbo” on the 2.7 and maybe “Turbo” or “Turbo-Charged” on the 2.3. Thoughts?

The first one will just be made of the 3D print plastic. Considering have a metal casting. But not unless I feel like I could sell a lot. I thought about doing the “turbo”. May try another version. 2.7 would be 165ci

Wikipedia says the ecoboost 2.3 is a 138 ci/ 2261 cc
I4 2.3: 2261 cc (138 CID)
The Lima was 2301 cc...
V6 2.7: 2694 cc (164 CID)
I like the look and sound of 140 better than 138. I could go either way with the 165/164

Just another idea. The earliest V8 broncos had a fender emblem with a V as the centerpiece with 289 in the apex of the V. They may also have had 260 but I am not sure about that. My understanding is that the 2.7 is a V-6 engine, so you might look at some photos of the early bronco V-8 fender emblems for ideas on replicating those. Just a thought.

I thought about the V one like this. But sense my bronco is a inline 4 I went with the other style.

Great minds think a like!!! The last 2 days I've been searching for badges / emblems to do the same thing for my 2.7 in Ci. No luck.... Concidered doing a design in a decal but, not my 1st choice. Retro is the way to go. Well done!!!

With the right material, a 3D printer can do it.👍👍

Perfectly understandable. I am just shooting ideas at you because there are two engines here and various potential options. Whatever you do, I think you need to leverage the retro look and be true to that. Hopefully there will be enough interest to offer multiple options/choices. Forge ahead, you are augmenting a great re-make by Ford with your own take, and elevating the whole re-invention of a great American icon!

Ok so after some long drawn out problems. I finally got my 3D printed badges done. They are resin print. My next step is to get them painted to match the original 302 colors.

yeah, as previously mentioned, the 2.3 is actually 138 cubic inches, but it fits in with Ford calling the 4.9/302 Fox body V8 a 5.0. Whats a little fender exaggeration between friends?
