Drives me NUTS!! When I bought my Challenger I stopped at a dealership on my way home in my work van. I just gandered at them, talked to a guy and he was cool and I left. Took the wife back and looked at them before dinner one day a week or so later. A week after that I went back and test drove the car and I liked it. I left the dealership and thought about it and 3 weeks went by and the dealer called me. I told him i was still thinking about it and I’d get back to him. Later that week i decided what I wanted and I said I want this and you don’t have it. He found it in New Mexico and called me back and I said get it here.

I went in to deal a few days later and left when I didn’t like the terms. I went back again and we talked more and I left again to talk to my wife. I then emailed the dealer and told him what I wanted and said I had to work the next day (Saturday) so email is how I needed to communicate. We must have gone back and forth 6-7 times until he gave in. I went in later that night and signed for the car and took it home.

Poor guy had to do so much work. He called me a month ago to wish me happy birthday a year later, nice guy.

@Granger Ford you’ve been warned! ?? JK, this will be easy.

I remember those days when I sold vehicles...

Did not like to play games with folks...just put the cards on the table for all to see...

Made the process easier for new vehicles...

Was not the high gross guy in the store but in a little store in the middle of Iowa sold and delivered 25 vehicles per month average...high of 33 and low of 10 in that average...

The Broncos will blow away all of our monthly and yearly records...

Thanks to the B6G community...??????

The reservation system is still open. If Ford is taking reservations while knowing they can't/won't fullfil them I would think that might expose them to some legal action not to mention bad blood with their customers. I don't think they would be that low.
Should be pretty easy to figure out if someone knows what the daily production rates for Ford’s Dearborn plant.

Does anyone know?

So, my very rude GSM at Malloy Ford in Charlottesville first asked me for $500 non-refundable deposit to order the 2 door today (lie), but then after I asked about any dealer markups he said he wasn't sure and that he didn't believe Ford would actually fulfill all reservations. I asked why and he said he's been doing this awhile so he knows. I'm running from them asap. Anybody else hear anything like that?
I live in Stuart’s Draft and placed my reservation at Jim Snead Ford in Waynesboro. They are very nice people, plus they stated MSRP with no markups.

In the next 5-10 years the average customer will have grown up with a smart phone in hand and will know all about dealership tactics and look upon the "FORD" brand as something not to do business with...... it won't only be Bronco fanatics anticipating their new rig

Food for thought
This isn't exclusive to ford dealerships. There are scum like that in every facet of every type of business. I couldn't guess how many dealerships exist out there. I bet there are some FCA and GM dealers that are also P'sOS

Reread the post... not about my personal choice or what I’m going to do. Most business professionals know the changes coming to many markets whatever the product..... Consumer intelligence is mandating that brands pay attention to their dealers and the message they deliver. The next generation of consumers will drive this even further. I can quote some actual adult driven research on product manaufacturing and selling to the emerging consumer but we have a pearls to the pigs situation here

Besides what do I know.... just want to buy a Bronco

That's good to know for routine maintenance. I live outside Cville close to Sugar Hollow. I already switched to Leonardtown Ford in Maryland because they offered 3% under MSRP and it's still only a 3 hour drive for me.

I live about an hour from Charlottesville and dealt with a greedy pig at Umansky Dodge. The salesman seemed way over his head but was nice and helped the best he could. The finance guy though...Total Douche. He stuck me with Chrysler Capitol for his dealer bonus. Told me it was my best option! Come to find out Capital One picked me up for a way better payment and APR. Got a letter in the mail from them 2 weeks later. ? Needless to say I’ll never buy from them again.

But the ordering is in December, after you can see what you are going to put in your Bronco. They are scaming you.

Mine asked for a $900 non-refundable payment. I'll probably be switching to either Ricart or Stephens.
I will tell the dealer to shove the Bronco up their ass. No deal for me.

The dirtbag dealers can't wait for people to balk in the finance room at the last minute. As far as they're concerned, the Bronco will be sitting on their lot, ready for them to sell to the highest bidder after you walk. My original dealer's alleged Bronco specialist told me exactly that when I told him other dealers were offering better prices already. Said he had a very long list of people already waiting to buy my Bronco if I didn't want it. I can't wait to switch to a trustworthy dealer before the transfer period ends Oct. 31.
