Hi guys, I’m new here and recently decided to go with Bronco over the new Defender. It’s a cool Bronco, body on frame, and no independent suspension because this thing will get dirty!

Because I’ve purchased a few high demand cars before, just a word of caution as others have shared on pre-ordering, etc. if a dealer Knows you “have to have” a certain vehicle and it’s not negotiable, they are less likely to negotiate. I won’t be buying until next summer anyway, but I also don’t want to see any of you guys get fleeced, since you all are now about to be my new online car buddies. :).

If you must have it first, I get that. You already know you’ll pay through the nose to be first. However, if you want one and can be patient by 3-5 months, the fleecing will slow. Ford plans to crank out 200,000 of these or so per year, they’ll be everywhere. If you’ll be getting a higher end off-road trim like I will, you really will need some patience. Those option parts tend to be more scarce than the actual vehicles. The mud tires, steel bumpers, etc will be in low supply I imagine.

Even if I can’t secure until next fall, that may work. I’m working from home these days for likely the next 8-12 months anyway.

Good luck guys! Excited about this truck.
Good tips, but regarding:

"and no independent suspension because this thing will get dirty!"

You do realize the Bronco is IFS, correct?

Thought it was solid axle front and back with sway bar disconnect and lockers? No?

You are confusing the BRONCO for a Jeep.

THE BRONCO IS NOT A JEEP!!!
Not confusing with a Jeep, think I know my cars. The sway is only available from factory on Rubicon.

There has been a leaked pick of the dash aux buttons that clearly sows a sway bar disconnect, a button for both front and rear lockers as well. There is also a dial for 4L, 4H, 2H, and some other option.

I took the sway disconnect to mean there is a solid front axle. I know the Bronco Sport is a mono, with IFS, IRS, but I‘m not looking at that one at all.

I spoke to a dealer this morning and he said he wouldn't know anything until 8pm Monday and he was the Bronco specialist.

I was thinking about paying The 100 and getting on the order list Monday night my question is when I do that do You pick the options and color you want Monday night so the order goes in how do we know we won’t get charged over msrp from whatever dealer we choose thanks again for any help. I was thinking of the 2.7 eco boost not sure what options yet and color would either be the orange the new gray color or Area 51 color

Monday night is not an order, just a reservation. The orders will not actually be firmed up until the December so you can change up until that time. You can change dealers if you need to as well.

You can have a sway bar disconnect on an IFS.
Bronco will have a sway bar disconnect and lockers. But for high speed desert racing it will have IFS.
It will also have more power then the Jeep and better transmissions options.
Monday we will know a lot more.

It was not my intention to say you did know your cars, there is so much misinformation with all the new members joining. Many people have not followed every twist and turn of the leaks is all I was pointing out.

Many other comments come from people who think the Bronco is just like a Jeep and all the mods and upgrades a Jeep needs means the Bronco must need those as well.

We have to wait until Monday to get the bigger picture.

Orders not finalized till December...so a moot point till then. BUT, when would YOU expect to find out what items will be late avail??

I think people are overestimating just how many people are going to follow through with their reservation for a day 1 order. Especially because Ford will likely have some prioritization on day 1 orders, namely for the higher trim models to get them out and viewable. Especially the first edition model. so if you are reserving and put in your order for a first edition, you'll likely get towards the front of the line, even if you put in your order a bit late. The people at the front of the line will be celebrities and youtube personalities, even if they don't 'reserve' until right before the order books open in the late fall/winter.

That usually comes up on the build and price. I had ordered a 16 Explorer Platinum and wanted a black interior that was listed late availability. I kept waiting and then it was confirmed Sync 3 wouldn't be available. That made me decide to cancel and order a 16 Expedition Platinum that had Sync 3.

A few local dealers have a page with the bronco family teaser and one of those contact info forms to fill out. So far I've had 2 dealers reach out to me, and seem to know at least the basics about the bronco. I'm going to see what all the detailed info is and what I can actually configure and the hardest decision of all for me, WHICH COLOR!?

The smaller dealer texted me and actually asked if I'd like to meet up Tuesday to "get it ordered", so take that with a grain of salt

I don't think a ton of dealers are going to do much mark up with the recession we're in, especially if they get a buyer in the know on the bronco. I can see them poking peoples eyes who didn't even knew the bronco was coming back or what a bronco is.

It's getting serious and I'm kinda in shock that I'm in a position to possibly get one.
If Ford somehow offers 0% financing, you're definitely talking to a future bronco owner. If not I have a good back up rate, so either way. damn i'm rambling
