My Dog Needs a 2 door interior Measurement

We have a 2 door Black Diamond on order. My Dog needs a inside measurement for his crate. ANYONE with access to a 2 door, can you help him? The crate is steel, 22 1/2" wide.....it is the width he is concerned about (not concerned with length or height). His plan is to remove one rear seat and then the crate will go in it's place; behind the front passenger seat, facing to the rear. His concern; will it fit? He needs the dimension between the rear seat that is still up/in place (the rear seat behind the driver) from the edge of that seat over towards the right inside wall of the Bronco....as his crate will be up against the rear seat edge (the seat remaining). The diagram below shows an overall inside width of 43", divided by half it won't....but, there is space between the seats and it all depends on other factors than just looking at this drawing. He realizes he will need to do something at the floor to make a level surface for his crate to sit on.

His crate would go in the box indicated. Basically he needs to make sure of side clearance between the remaining rear seat over towards the right side interior wall. Will 22 1/2" rectangular object fit?

Love the dog pic and all the Bronco Swag in the background I'm getting a 2 door for my boy as well or that's what he thinks. The size in the back does worry me but my biggest worry is how hard will the rear seats will be to remove. It's been decaused many times on this Forum. Ford didn't build the MY21 or probably the MY22 Bronco with removable seats like Jeep did "I know where there's a will there's a tool to get the job done". But if it's not easy to remove and put back in I might have to leave them in and figure out another solution. There will be times when I need the back seats and times when it's just me and the dog when no backseat is required.

Best crates made. Military, dog show people and competitors use them. As a professional trainer for 30+ years/Police K-9, I go for the best. Safe for the dog and they come in many colors. I went with Gray to match the Bronco. They even come in pink if you want something that does not look so...."harsh".

A few bolts removed and they should come right out. The proper wrench should make it fairly easy. I can't find it but someone posted a photo with them all removed, there will be some weld "tabs" on the floor pan that stick up. What we do for our dogs.

Nice looking dog. I hope the crate fits for you. To me it looks like it should. I will be removing the back seats when I get home, or maybe even asking the dealer to do it.

Thanks. A 5 month old Portuguese Water Dog. I had German Shepherds for 35 years. Need a non-shedding breed for the house and Bronco! He is a blast.
