My dealer has an A51 FE sitting on the showroom floor. It is stunning. It is a sold retail unit stuck in purgatory due to the extra airbag fold and subsequent recall. As a bonus, It helped me stay committed to my A51 choice while I resubmitted my order today.

I feel so terrible for the new owner having to agonize over the wait and getting a new airbag from ford. I never realized how much tracking and reporting went into things like Airbags. The dealer is doing the right thing and trying their best but the rules from Ford say no driving it either.

I'd be dying inside.

Can you tell me how the various trackers updated (assuming you stalked them like we all have)? Did your truck show in production for days/weeks before getting the built email? Did anything update or you just received email. Curious....

Currently my tracker still says in production. Tho it says eta delivery 8/19. I have been in production since 7/22

Thanks. Sounds like you were on dirt mountain, I'm assuming. Been "in production" since 9/8 and still nothing. Seems hit or miss as to whether these things update or not.

Dealer is awesome. It’s locked. I got permission to look inside with open doors, but not sit, touch, drool, etc!

I’d want similar treatment and respect the dealer for it.
