…at least for about 10 minutes driving downhill. But still, she is capable of better than advertised hwy miles if you start the trip meter once you are actually on the hwy. My city stop & start driving is about 16.8 to 17 mpg the last almost 1K miles.

I've gotten pretty good mileage on mine when in stop and go traffic that's puttering along at 45 or so. it's the mad aerodynamics on the bronco that's killing the mileage above 60-65. the dropoff is almost comical.

Legit doing upper 20s with big mix of city and highway over a couple hours today. Using ECO and taking a long view of the road for slow acceleration and deceleration. And using the auto stop which really helps Mpg in city. I disabled it till my experiment today and I will now be learning to deal with it. It’s not bad if you can let go of the brake right before the light turns green. Then no lag. And a gentle takeoff (max 2000 rpm goal) and you’ll be upper 20s in any model that has 3.73 (base OBX). It does nose dive mpg at 75+ so interstate cruising at 65-70 seems ideal.

Overcoming terminal velocity is energetically expensive.

Ain't gonna be no Bronco shaped airplanes.

We must have trash gas in Utah because even on 91 I am barely getting 16.0 after the first 1k miles.

Cruising down I70 from the mountains towards Denver, I would sometimes put my CJ-5 in nuetral and turn the engine off. :)

Would you make a fuller, complete report? See the one I just posted!
