Great write up. Pics are great, but to get how the person feels about the truck just adds to it all.

Only question I have left is, can a stock Big Bend squeeze 35's in there? That would be a game changer if it could, save me the Squatch package. I don't need lockers all around, and I could care less about the bead lock wheels. Build myself the ultimate mall crawler  (yeah I said it... Haters gonna hate)
I would be happy to fit 285's (+aftermarket rims) on a stock Big Bend or Black Diamond. I do not think the wider tires will fit without a small lift (who knows).

Awesome info, very much appreciated. Got me thinking twice about squanching my bd now if it looks right on 33’s. Still want the gears and lockers though...

Great Post OP. Ford if you are listening *cough* @mike_at_ford *cough* for these events could you please make a sign board for each Bronco that is displayed and list out:

Model
Factory Options
Available Ford Accessories
Non-available Ford Accessories
Other pertinent information

This sure would cut down on the questions asked, misinformation and speculation. Thanks.

Edit. Looking at some of the other posts from the events it looks like they somewhat did as I suggested and listed out the Ford Accessories for the previously outfitted concepts. So, maybe some more details and have a sign board ready for any new debuted outfitted concepts.

Bronco nation walkaround video states it is Sasquatch suspension.

It definitely has Sasquatch fender flares. The wheel wells do look stuffed, though.

According to BFG, 35x12.50 are 1/10th inch taller vs. 315/70's.
should be comparable in size - BFGoodrich sizes runnotoriously small.

If you have a chance to talk with any of the engineers, could you see if there are going to be different tire and wheel packages for the different trims? I'm hopeful for 33's on trims below the Badlands.
I would love to hear of a 33” option for BD.

Awesome. Thank you for sharing raw gut feels on what you experienced.

Edit:
did you get to touch the leather and vinyl?

does the vinyl have that plastic’y feel?
I did, the 4 door material definitely has a sheen to it. Not necessarily a plastic feel, but definitely not leather. Maybe a little like lunch-lady-pants crossed with parachute pants of yesterdays. :)

great write up! did they give indications of what options there were for the interior trim?

so far, we've seen the predominantly black theme, the unliked navy blue for the FE, and the light theme for the cactus grey teaser vehicle.

hoping the light theme might be an option. along with a light roof, that would certainly
help vehicle interior temperatures

That pic makes it look like they at least matched the top to the flares!!!
its close in certain 10' angles but they do not match

There's going to be a fridge option? My wife loves the fridge in my Flex, so that box might get ticked...

I really hope they let you factory-spec 33s on OBX, or we'll have to aftermarket it.
My wife has had a 09 Flex since new that has the fridge and has been thinking of replacing it with a low mileage 19. We have not seen one with the fridge yet!

This post has me so excited. I'm going to the event on Saturday! Driving 7 hours one way from North Carolina tomorrow. So excited!! Fingers crossed there's still a bronco mug left!

After reading your post, it has me leaning towards Area 51, Mansquatch black diamond, mid package, with the MIC grey top (basically the poor man's Badlands).

Save money by getting factory standard manual and grey top. Get the stance, looks, and capability of the Badlands at a cheaper price. I'm fine with an 8 inch screen, and I'm hoping mid package is reduced in price since the remote start can't be paired with the manual trans.

Thanks op

Excellent review! Thanks! I felt much the same way after seeing the two door in person (wish they had the four door in Colorado).

When you see one in person they are impressive. These are going to fly off the lots when they get there!
