Ok so the next step is complete. I just got him back from the paint shop last night. I didn’t think that it could get better than spending a week in Hawaii. But this sure made a lot easier to come home from the trip. I had it painted it the same off white that the wheels were done in. I am sure people will be asking about the grill, but I am not sharing that yet. A little good info on the grill. If you are thinking of painting a base grill be warned it has a lot of texture to it. I was going to color match the outside rim of the grill but when we tried to mask off for the second color the paint would bleed through because of the texture. So we have painted it white for now, and hit it with about 7 coats of clear to get a smooth finish. In a few weeks we will go back and do the color match. I will say this even the big white grill and top look sooo much better in person. I have a huge smile on my face 😁😁

That is funny. I saw 4 different people stop by today to look at it and take pictures. I think these pictures were from a a guy in a decked out and lifted camouflage Tacoma. 😎

No seat covers yet. Just haven’t found anything vintage looking yet that I like.

Are you still going to paint the outside edge of grill body color so it gives the illusion of a smaller heritage style grill?

Yes I am. I am dropping it off to the painter on the 3rd of March when I head out of town again. I will post updates as soon as I get back from my trip.

My wife works in Moab once a month. So I drove her down there in the Bronco. It was going to be my maiden voyage. I have lived in Utah for 30 years and have never been in Moab when it snowed. So my only real option today was Gemini Bridges. Not too crazy but was super fun to get it out and dirty. I am not sure if the paint on the roof and grill have absorbed into the blackness. But it is not the same off white as the wheels anymore. Granted there is a bit of red dirt on them. I am taking it to the painter next week to paint the body color on the grill to make it smaller. And he is going to repaint the roof and grill again to get a better match.

Ok so I was supposed to drop off my Bronco to the good friend tomorrow to have the grill finished being painted, and converted to what i called a heritage grill. He is the one who painted the top and grill for me. Well He was in a bad accident few days ago and we will have to postpone the paint for a while. So here is my mock up of the grill for now. I started with a piece of aluminum from a door kick, and cut it to size. It will be mounted to the grill and then painted white to match. And well as the sides of the grill will be body color to shrink the white part of the grill. The letters are from juggernaut.

I'm just jealous of your front yard view. Damn.
Thanks. Been here for about 25 years. There are lots of good hiking and MTB trails. But no motor vehicles. No off roading. 🤬

This will (already is looking) amazing!!!! Can't wait for the updates. White bronco here so I don't think I can go white on the grill. Its the body color match that Im the most excited to see. Maybe will have to wait for a delfab mass produced version.
