Ok so I was supposed to drop off my Bronco to the good friend tomorrow to have the grill finished being painted, and converted to what i called a heritage grill. He is the one who painted the top and grill for me. Well He was in a bad accident few days ago and we will have to postpone the paint for a while. So here is my mock up of the grill for now. I started with a piece of aluminum from a door kick, and cut it to size. It will be mounted to the grill and then painted white to match. And well as the sides of the grill will be body color to shrink the white part of the grill. The letters are from juggernaut.

What size of tires are u running?

They are 285/70/17. They are just the right height with the rough country level kit. I wanted 255/80/17 tires. But I got a much better deal on the 285/70/17. All you have to do is find some guy dumping his rubicon wheels for cheap. And then sell the jeep rimes to someone else.

I am not sure what that one has for lift and tires. But I was told by my dealership when they put my level kit on that is was 1.5” in the rear and 2.5” in the front. The tires are 285/70/17. Which are 32.8” tall. I think they are just right with the lift. I am sure I can get 35” tires on it, but I like it the way it is now.

No seat covers yet. Just haven’t found anything vintage looking yet that I like.

What about having the seats reupholstered in hound's-tooth or a plaid fabric? Very old-school and retro. The build looks great so far.

I have looked into it. But not sure I want to drop the money on that part right now. But I am leaning towards plaids.

No update. My friend who did the paint work has had facial reconstruction surgery every week for the last 3 weeks. I saw him yesterday, and visited with him. It is going to be a little while before the grill gets done. I will definitely post it when it is done. But for now it has grown on me the way it is.

How did you finish them? just a rattle can? What brand and color?

Yes I do have a file for 3D printing. I did rattle can them. But when I went to paint the red and white colors the chrome color bled through. So I need to try again a little different way. They are good 10foot fake. But up close they look horrible.

I had a nightmare of a time trying to paint grill letters with chrome in a can. After three tries, I gave up. I stuck them on for now, but they look bad up close. They looked great after they were first painted. But even after a few days to cure, the got all gross just from touching.

I have ordered the Oracle Lighting letters to start over/try something different.

If I get enough bits and pieces to go chrome, I might go to a pro for finish.
