Ok my next step in this build is going to be the white top. For those of you who are worried about the look of the white top, like I was. Try this…. I used printer paper and taped up a mock-up on the side and back of one side, to get an idea of how it will look. I have seen a few white tops in photos and wasn’t sure if I liked it. But when you see it in person, it looks so much better. So now it is off to the painter on February 2nd. 😁

I first tried a 16” smoothie in the same design but the rim would not clear the brake calipers. So I went with the 17.
it does look WAY better and wheels not as big when the top is white. It must off set the white wheel

I honestly think it is just the camera angles. It looks way better in person. I will post some update in a week or so when I pick it back up from the painters with the roof all done.

This is my thread on my 2 door Heritage build. As a 22 year old many years ago I had a 66 and then a 74 bronco. So when they announced the new Bronco I new I needed to reproduce an old classic. I started with a base 2 door automatic, In velocity blue. So far I have added a rough country 2” level kit. 1.something in the 2.something in the rear. And had custom built Wheelsmith wheels made. They are 17x8 steel smoothies, with 30mm offset. Interceptor caps with custom designed vinyl graphics. And modified old school fender badge with the “sport” removed. My next step will be the top painted in matching off white to the wheels. Should be done with that in a couple weeks.

I cut the mounting tabs off and used a double sided adhesive to mount them. It has worked very well that way.

Are you going to paint the fender flares?
No I won’t be painting the flares. I feel like it will be too much white. I am still trying to figure out how to do the grill with some white and not be too overbearing.

Have you thought about 'massaging' on gen 1 chrome bumpers? I have been thinking of this as a unique way to go retro and relatively inexpensive. I don't think I am gonna go retro build myself but I really like what you are doing.

You may want to consider the fender delete kits out there but have them chrome plated? Could be classy?

I have thought about both of those ideas. But I am waiting for the advance fiberglass guys to come out with a 2 door fender kit with the more square original look. I will get those for sure when they come out.

Nice work! That’s the fender badge I’ve wanted.
