My Wildtrak was delivered to the dealership last night, but…

Well, I was pretty excited to get a phone call from my dealership that my Bronco was delivered . I placed my reservation in 2020 and subsequently placed my order. I was bumped from a 21 to a 22 and finally to a 23. I have stayed in contact with Ford as well as the dealership every step of the way as often as possible and had every constraint on the books. Last night I got a call telling me that my Bronco was there, however, I can’t, get it. Apparently Ford has a recall and they’re not even sure what the recall is for yet. In fact, they told me that it was listed as indefinite and unknown… Talk about frustration. Now I have to wait until Monday to hopefully find something out. If I had to guess, it’s probably the seatbelt thing that I’ve read about , but that also has an unknown date as to when they expect it to be handled.

It's the seatbelt recall. Couple threads already, only 4 doors. Estimated fix is sometime in the 4th quarter.

Completely agree. They must have a fix as they are still building Broncos that can now be delivered. So why not apply that same fix to those sitting on dealer lots?

It’s a plastics paper clip or chip clip they won’t have until later in the year.

Don't know why they say they don't have a fix when they do. New Bronco's are being built with a clip attached to the seat belt..a member here took a picture of his.

Mine needs said recall, but luckily got it in Dec before the stop hold. That recall will never be applied as long as I own my Bronco. I'm more than capable of figuring out how to get my clasp out and it has gotten stuck a couple of times.

Can't you buy an aftermarket 3rd party clip and have dealer install? The wait would kill me. I'd guess the factory one is bonded or melted (welded) in place to be permanent, but I think a cool and flexible dealer just might let you get away with an aftermarket one.

This has been a 2 door feature since the beginning. Belt gets trapped behind the seat when you flip the seat back. Wonder why it’s now an “issue”.

Dealership will not sell vehicle until repaired. A huge fine if they did and the fine is per vehicle. Not fair if the vehicle was built after recall came out though.

I am in a similar wait as well, (Sept.6 is 2 years) and was told the DAY before purchasing that I wouldn't be able to take it home. Talk about blue balls!

There has to be a fix that allows me to get it sooner, has to be. Anyone have a lead on one of these "fixes" I can buy and take to the dealer and have them put it on so I can get my bronco?

EDIT**-- So because "I may experience difficulty, therefore I may just not put it on" We cannot get our vehicles... Seems like a bunch of hypothetical shit at this point.

Maybe this might help?.. I just received a letter from Ford telling about the recall BUT also telling me that it's okay to drive it until a fix is available .... So maybe the dealer was told not to sell you the truck because of the recall ...but Ford telling us it's okay to drive it until the unit is in stock ....
Maybe you need to show them my letter from Ford and push them to let you finish your purchase and see if that works? If you want it the letter let me know and I'l scan it and reply to this string.
