I originally bought the trail armor to hide the pinch welds, but I still wasn't happy with the look of the running boards. I felt like it was making the Bronco look lower to the ground, so I sold them and was happy with how it looked with just the Trail Armor. THEN, my 5ft. wife was having trouble getting into the Bronco and said she hated it, so I did exhaustive research and decided on the N-FAB side tube steps. I have to say I am pretty pleased with the outcome. They look GREAT and do not interfere with the Trail Armor. In hindsight, I wish I could have saved the money on the Trail Armor, but I guess I now have that added protection.

Looks great, and at the end of the day, the trail armor is going to add that little extra protection, so I wouldn't have regrets about putting it on.

I have an OBX with the factory side steps, and have the trail armor arriving this week. I think there's a good reason to have both, after hearing rocks hitting off my rocker panels!

How do you feel about the placement of the step? From the drivers side do you step with your left foot and swing your right leg in?

That's exactly what I do - I step with my left foot and grab the handle to get in. It's a nice fluid movement that works perfectly for me. My wife was also VERY happy with the step.

looks great!! I purchased the same trail armor and was having the dealer install it. They called me and told me the bottom of the rock was all dented and the 3M tape wouldn't adhere to it. At this point I had the Bronco for 2 days with 30 miles on it. Fast forward 3 months and 3000 miles later and a lot of emails, pictures and calls, Ford determined that the damage occurred at the factory pre-paint and they are paying to get it repaired.

Your Bronco is clean for sure. What are you using on the tires?

Oh yeah, steps look good too!

Wow-what a bummer! I hate to hear that you had to go through all of that.

Thanks! I attribute the cleanliness to the ceramic coating :). My detail guy gave me some stuff in a bottle to use on my tires, so I do not know what it is, but it is amazing, and I will see if I can get him to tell me.
