Dealership told me there's no price protection associated with my account. They said to call Ford since Ford is the one who created it.

I called Ford and the customer service rep confirmed there's nothing connected to my account and that my dealership should be the one getting it corrected. Edit: they specifically said my dealership has the resources to get it corrected.@Ford Motor Company

I notified my dealership what Ford said and they said they can't do that. @Granger Ford @Zach@Granger

I'm an original 2020 reservation holder. I've ordered with my dealership when each model year opened and re-ordered when the subsequent model year started. I just recently was emailed my March 6, 2023 build date. I'm trying to get ahead by sorting this out before delivery.

I understand mistakes are made and things get lost in translation between model years. But I SHOULD have price protection per Ford's own advertising. I just need someone with authority to apply it! I'm being given the run-around by the two parties that I'm told should be helping.

Anybody have advice?

The dealership is correct—they cannot correct it themselves, and Ford’s customer service cannot correct it either. But your dealer has means to contact the appropriate people at Ford to get it fixed.

You dealership needs to contact their inventory specialist at Ford to get it figured out, who in turn will (probably) need to contact the Contest and Incentives Team.

Ask your dealer if they COVP’d your order. If they did not, that could potentially be why you don’t have a certificate.

Thank you, will do. What does COVP mean?

@BeerForMyHorses is your dealer Granger? Is that why you tagged them or looking for advice?

Thank you, will do. What does COVP mean?
Customer Order Verification Program.

Basically your dealer copies your drivers license, and uploads it with the signed order sheet to the COVP portal. It then gets approved (or denied) by Ford.

It’s a way of confirming that you (an actual person) ordered the vehicle rather than someone trying to sneak in extra orders into the system under a fake name.

They're my dealership. They've been great and helpful in every way the past 2 and 1/2 years. Just might need some nudging in the right direction on this one.

Granger had a lot of customers. I wonder if they did that for all of us.

I have zero personal experience with Granger. But based on their reputation on this forum (which in general is pretty good), I would assume they did COVP for everyone.

If they did COVP your order
ask them to look it up via your phone number or email rather than your name/address/zip. If that doesn’t work they have to work with theit Ford contacts to figure it out.

We just picked up our Bronco last night.

Initially (last week) it showed no PP. Our dealer had to re-submit paperwork to Ford with the original order documents for approval.

Yikes. I've moved and my driver's license is for a different state, so potentially 3 different addresses on file...

Oh
 yuck.

Yeah if your current zip doesn’t match what’s on file for your reservation then that is likely why your certificate is missing. I think they should still be able to look it up with your phone number / email. But if that doesn’t work it’s probably going to take a bit to figure it all out.

Good luck!
