Need rock rail installation instructions

Purchased rock rails (2dr) for Base from Ford last week. Got them Friday. No instructions were included. Looks straight fwd, but If you have instructions post up. I'm wondering if i need to drill holes in the pinch weld or if Broncos come with them already, thanks

Are my eyes going bad or does this really say only use 10 and 18 pounds of torque. That feels like no torque through these.

If i remember correctly, the 10 is for the nuts on bolts going through sheet metal pinch weld. So those just need to be tight. And the rest really functions off leverage. It's said they can take the weight of the vehical, but I've never tested that.

This gets repeated going back to the pre-production days. Not sure who was the original source (someone on the Bronco Brand Team), but anyone that has looked at the mounting brackets and how they are mounted must realize there is no way they are supporting a fraction of the vehicle's weight. They will certainly provide protection and serve a purpose. But they should not be mistaken for frame mounted sliders.

I don't know. You and I have been here long enough, but I could swear it was one of the talking heads on the Bronco Brand Team. It would have been in 2020 around the time B&P went live.

But you have installed them. I just removed them. They are good at what they do. They provide protection. But they are not frame mounted rails. I feel bad for whomever uses them as a lift point.

Like I said, they are useful and provide protection. For most people, they will serve the purpose. But it doesn't take an engineering degree to see that in the manner they mount, they will not support the vehicle's weight.
