Painted the rocker area that just looked unfinished, black made it much less noticeable.

Ya know, the base wheels don't look so bad when paired with larger tires. They look retro... Will upgrading to aluminum be lighter than the steelies offsetting the weight increase of the tires? I'm just brainstorming my future base. I don't even have it ordered yet. But this looks great how it is!

Love my base 2 door, I went Cactus Grey, other than that, looks just like yours, 33" tires and all.

I personally like the factory rims better than any aftermarket ones I found and I think the weight saving is really not that much, I my opinion.

I haven't found any weights posted for the factory steel wheels.

Base model factory tire weight is is 31 lbs. We could do the math if someone weighed their wheels.

I have a set of Big Bend take-offs. Internet says that tire is 32" dia and weight is 35 lbs. I have them in storage and when I get a chance to weigh them post the wheel weight!

Wife got hers last weekend. I will say it is a great vehicle. Have not driven it yet . It is a well thought out vehicle. Picked up some black diamond steelies for it and am getting them painted silver. Needs a little more tire on it.

Why not just put bigger tires on the 16" steelies? I have 33" tires on mine?

I thought of that but scored some black diamond steelies with brand new tires for 650.00. only had 40 miles on them. We might keep them black and just use them for the winter and off roading.
