Why doesn't the skid plate also cover the bottom of the shock?

We were interested in protecting the added reservoir from little rocks and hits that can occur during the drive from the "driving angle". We thought that protecting the bottom of the shock will protect it from a "'rare hit". But we're always happy to learn and hear feedbacks from you all.! We'll stay tuned for that.

"rare" as it is not the most common hit, it can happen for sure - and you mentioned quite a bit. Like we've said before - we appreciate any comment we can learn and grow from.

This is our product, but it doesn't mean we can't make changes to it if needed.

I do have the ASFIR skid plate for the Front Trailing link mount point. It's been scraped several times already and likely saved the joint BUT - I did like another design for the rear shock - if you see, it also protects the trailing link joint, as well as the bottom of the shock.
