The "Former CEO" is Jim Hackett. He is almost personally responsible for the Bronco getting approved as the Bronco that we want and not a Blazer. He pushed for what you see right now right down to the "Bronco Bolt" to allow for customization. That’s part of the problem. The former ceo who stepped down yesterday came to ford with a background in furniture. The new ceo as of today while he might be the cousin of the late great Chris Farley, he at least had an automotive background

Considering how poorly launches have gone, including website failures abounding and poor communications, this isn't much of a surprise. Whether a new crop of white-collars in the C-suites makes any difference in the real world is another question.

Ford (F) unveiled a dramatic operational and management shake-up on its CEO Jim Farley's first day in the role, as the automaker continues to seek a turnaround. Ford stock wobbled.
Among leadership changes, Ford announced the exit of CFO Tim Stone. His replacement, John Lawler, most recently led Ford's autonomous vehicle unit and has 30 years at the company.
In its executive reshuffling, Ford also plans to replace its chief information and chief marketing officers. It will name their successors shortly.
