Hi all,

Brand new Bronco owner here--actually, it's my wife's car. Brand new, got it this past Saturday. COMPLETE change of pace for us. You know how old dudes go out and buy Corvettes? We're older, but decided this was our mid life crisis. Once my wife saw it and drove it, she had to have it.

And change of pace it is. After her driving minivans for 25 years, we traded in the 3.5 year old PLUG IN HYBRID minivan for our new '23 Outer Banks edition. Hot pepper red (I love colors; why do car dealers stock only white/silver/gray/black???), 2.7, 4x4 Advanced, 4.27 rear end of COURSE with the locking rear diff, and the upfitter switches--and, most importantly, roast/black interior. All in all, it was almost the perfect piece I was looking for. And on top of that, it was a friendly price because it was the last '23 on the lot. I couldn't pass it up.

What really threw me was how my wife loves the soft top and the convertible life style. The front part has been flipped up since we bought it. My wife? Convertible? I would never have guessed.

This is our first vehicle of this kind. This was more of a fashion statement than a "working" vehicle. We don't do off roading, but that's not to say we won't find some people and some bunny trails now that we can. (Any advice is welcome.) And, I'm stunned at what a Lego kit this thing is. I've already broken my wallet just picking up a few mods to take care of what the factory didn't bother with. And I'm not done. Hood and rear window struts, interior lighting, and storage is what I'm focusing on now.

And I blame you guys for all of that! Seriously, Google kept taking me here for the last week and you guys had all the answers. Thanks very much. I don't expect to post much (slap me if I overstay my welcome), because I don't know much beyond what the owner's manual says, but I'll be here lurking. I joined just so I could keep track of the threads and whatnot.

Thanks again!

(Oh, and btw--our 23 year old daughter, just graduated from college and still at home for now, has pretty much appropriated this Bronco for herself, driving it wherever she needs to go. She's taking it to a friend's farm a couple hours away next Tuesday, just because she loves it. I think Ford has a convert.)

Welcome to the club, we're glad to hear that the whole family is loving the Bronco!
