Links below, new grab handles, aluminum, pretty nice looking. They do not hang down like the parachute cords, interesting.

Head knocker in a crash, no thanks.
Ooo did not think about that, good point. I think you would have to roll over, but still could happen.

I believe the reason we don’t have hard grab handles, is the side air curtains make them unsafe.

According to the vid, and when you look them up on Amazon, they are supposed to not interfere with the Air Bags.

The one thing I looked at is the way they go straight out. I have the parachute cords now, and they hand down, letting you grab them easily. These seem a bit strange to grab when getting in?

The air bags fire downward. Neither style handle should cause a problem with them.

I’ve had these for a while and I’m planning to take them off since I find them to be basically useless. They hug the hardtop so closely that they’re not practical.

They are not a safety hazard. They’re completely out of the way of the airbag and high enough that you wouldn’t ever hit your head on them.

True, but the plastic separates outward to allow the airbags release.

I have had something similar on my First Edition since November 22. I am 6'3" and my son is 6'. They are no where near your head in daily driver or offroad. Those and my Goat fabrication steps have made it much easier for everyone to get in and out of the Bronco.

I wish they made more aesthetic handles that hang down that aren’t paracord.

I have them, no potential to hit your head unless you are like 7' tall, or your airbags AND belts both fail at the same time.
No interference with the airbags, as they fire down (as mentioned above), room enough for the plastic to move should it need to.

Now ergonomically (esp. on a Hard Top) they are not great, but any handle there isn't exactly great.
Coming from Jeeps, the ones you can put on the A pillar, above where the one on the dash is for our Broncos, is dang near perfect. However they were a head-knocker. Kind of is what it is.

In mine I find I use my left foot on the rock rail, left hand on the windshield frame to get in. Temptation is to grab the wheel and pull, but that will eventually end up bad for the column over time.
My wife uses her rigid grab handle to get in, seems to help her.
I use mine mainly as a place to hold onto on long drives.
I like that it does not hang down in my peripheral.
YMMV.

I have these…had them for a while. I like them. Not super helpful for getting in and out. I like the stability while off-road though.

Overall, I would buy them again.
