New Hard top shortage

it looks like there is a new hard top shortage as many recent MY23 are being built and modules populate online, however on hold due to hard top shortage. My salesman also confirmed.

As far as I know there has always been a hard top shortage. I originally wanted a hard top and switched to get my Bronco sooner, it worked! I'm enjoying the soft top and have no regrets.

Seeing hardtops on lots regularly including 2 DRs. The FORD Bronco tagline is...

"FORD BRONCO ...they're just not building yours."

They only make the 2 door with a hard top...

I waited 930+ days for my Bronco with a hard top.
It does not squeak or have any cracks or other issues at all.

I am so so glad I waited for the hard top. I can not imagine daily life with the soft top.

Soft top still pushes you to the front of the line. My friend ordered a 4D OBX in January and the dealer told him it would be a wait unless he wanted to switch to a rag top. He just switched and one week later he got a build date.

It's now official. The Bronco G6 is now the Edsel II. After this many years and they can't get this right. But they will keep on building. Fix Or Repair Daily

After 8 from build date months I'd rate my hardtop as pretty damn decent. If I ever do get cracks, I hope it's after they have figured out how to make a better version and get it under warranty.

Found cracks in my hard top over New Years and reported it to the Dealer. Been almost two months and have heard nothing yet, but I'd rather wait until they figure something out. Especially since we're smack dab in the middle of winter and I won't be taking it off any time soon.

I’ve had mine for just two weeks and no issues yet with the MIC top or unusual wind noise to track down and fix. I did find a few dirt nibs in the paint and the paint is certainly not perfect but that is the case with every car I’ve taken delivery of. I have a picky eye for such things from spending the last 20+ years of my career in the collision repair industry. I’d recommend at least PPF on the front of the hood as the boxy design lends itself to paint chips. Mine was done in full PPF this week and there was already a small chip on the A pillar with 280 miles on the odometer.

The newest batch was defective so their waiting for a fix/solution. Mine was built and all modules are up, but hard top is only thing holding it.

I think the only TRUE fix is to dump Webasto and get another supplier. That is too costly and time consuming. So... everyone has to deal with this shit.

Cant wait to take mine in for the hairline cracking. 







Having my MIC top replaced as we speak. Toke 4 months to get my replacement top. Hopefully I get my Bronco back tomorrow.
