I used to have a 2015 1.4 turbo Renegade. It had the kind of engine that could use both regular and premium fuel. The difference in HP the Premium fuel would make was like 15-20 which is obviously more substantial with something rated at 160 HP. It wasn't very noticeable except when the turbo would kick in. It was a bit smoother on the premium. I figure I'll do the same on the Bronco as I did on that thing: Use regular gas most of the time except for those days I feel the itch for a little bit more wild driving. I never wheeled the Renegade -it was a car, and was just 2wd -so I'm not used to using turbos in the dirt/rocks -that should be interesting.

I used to have a 2001 Corvette. We had a supply problem here in AZ where we could not get Premium (91 here) for several weeks. It definitely took a LOT of power away from the N/A engine running 87. I suppose more modern engines would do better - and having those turbos helps. I'll have to see if it's worth it power and economy wise to run 91 vs 89 vs 87.
