I have 21k on my 2.7. I noticed a little (half dollar sized) puddle in the garage. I crawled underneath and saw that it was coming from the front gear differential. I've taken it in for repair. Apparently there is a seal problem. Service manager said they have already seen this a couple of times with new Broncos.

Well that's something to look for now. I need to rewrite my list now 🙃

The list of things I can worry about gets longer for my 2.7, lets see, valves, fuel pump, and now the front gear diff seal. I'm sure I'm missing something.

Diff wouldn’t be exclusive to the 2.7. I’ve already had my front diff and drivers side cv axle replaced waiting on the passenger one.

A couple doesnt make a track record. Just sayin…. Sucks it happened but I went through this on ford 6.7 diesel forum. You would think your truck was going to implode reading the forum. 150,000 miles later with heavy 15k towing everyyr for camping season, not one problem. Forums make people crazy. Lol

My 21 Badlands had the same issue. It was caught on the 15k service and it took about 4-5 weeks for the seal to come in. It was more of a slow seep, so it wasn’t actually making it to the ground.

Tomorrow will be 4 weeks of waiting on the seal.

My dealer just let me know the part finally showed up for the front differential, almost 30 days to show up. Luckly there was a few other things for them to work on while we waited.

I found out today I have a front diff leak as well. Local shop initially thought I had a coolant leak, took it to Ford for pressure test and no coolant leak. They did find a small transfer case leak. Took it in today to get that fixed and I actually have a small front diff leak. 2021 badlands 2.7 with a little over 10K miles on it.
