How well do you think LEGO did? Personally, I think it's a bit too reliant on the grille and headlight stickers to identify it as a 6G Bronco.

The parts that make this Jeep look like a Bronco are non-lego parts like the lights, grill and fenders.
The point is to take regular lego blocks and make something recognizable with common objects and not 3D print stuff to make people understand what it is.

I think that set is actually just Technic by Lego and just tubes and joints. I am sure they have a Jurassic Park Jeep model too that looks the same pieces without the BRONCO grill.

Yeah... it's a price point thing.

Won't lie.... I am a gigantic LEGO fan. Probably the only hobby I've spent more money on than my Bronco obsession. I was hoping for a $350 super-detailed kit like the (now retired) Defender kit.

BUT... ya know... most people aren't man-children like me who are willing to drop $350 for a LEGO kit. For $65 the kit they come up with is solid.

Hah! I have the Saturn V and Notre Dame waiting for time, and probably the Endurance before I call my bluff and actually start building them

Nice. Was at Legoland in NY not too long ago and was looking for one. At least those Lego's wont scratch as easily as the plastics in the Bronco

The grill and lights are LEGO parts. They just have a decal overlay on them, but otherwise are LEGO. The fenders aren’t a common piece though and you may be right - however it’s still technically a LEGO part and would connect as such.

So.... a Lego sculpture designed to look like a Lego Technic model of a real race car.

I like the one they did of the Chiron better. At least it was motorized.

Seriously though, if you're one of the contributors to that race car model, that's a hell of a lot of work! Looks fantastic.

Looks like the LEGO Bronco could fit a V10. Certainly a V8 Coyote

Must be an early 2.6L V6, looks to me that it dropped it's valves so badly, the cylinder heads blew off exposing the pistons.

It's a pre-order right now, won't ship until August 1st but I got my order in.

I wish they had gone larger scale with this. I have the OG Technic Porsche 911 GT3RS mounted on the wall of my office. Was absolutely incredible putting it together (many many hours of work).

At $64.99, 11" long and 943 pieces it's not a bad deal. Any bigger with more pieces and it would have priced out more than what I'd want to pay. There's definitely a market though, the Ferrari SP3 currently on their site is $450 with over 3k pieces, I guess if I had Ferrari tastes then price isn't really in the conversation but for a Bronco I think it's priced right.

I feel like Ford didn't pay Lego enough to get a proper version made. Land Rover got a nice version of the old Defender made before they ruined it.

Depends on the series that the sets fall into. The Lego Icons sets tend to be a bit more realistic while the Technic sets have a very specific style to the pieces utilized going back something like 40 years now (even though the big Technic car builds are a relatively new development of maybe the last 10 years).
