I'm a low cost base customer (30k). If Ford bumps the base cost up too much for MY22, I'm out. Please Ford hold the line.

But if I were Ford, I'd consider offering more upscale options, and maybe even upscale versions. Because looking at what some people are paying for their Broncos, dropping 50k or more seems no big deal. Ford is leaving money on the table.

I'd offer fully tricked out versions, with cooled seats and all that jazz, aiming for the 55k and up crowd.
Mine is a non fe obx and it’s already pushing 60…….. aim higher

I think the marketing folks at Ford made a mess of things:
---Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond need to be consolidated into one model
---MGV + rubberization and drain plugs should be an option on most models
---OBX should be leather and and High/Lux package. It's really targeted at folks who want the creature comforts.
---Scrap the Badlands and make make the stabilizer bar disconnect an option on the Wildtrak. The technical specs of BL and Squatch are close enough.
--- The Lux package is too much extra if all you want is B&O. Allow people to add it a la carte to Mid and High packages

I know many folks will disagree with some of my individual points. Collectively, making changes like this would allow Ford to build more flexibility in their product offerings while simplifying their operations.
I generally agree with you, with some minor tweaks.

BB, OBX, and WT could have all been collapsed into the OBX trim level. Carpet and Cloth Seats should be standard with BB, OBX, and WT. Leather trimmed vinyl and MGV should be optional seats. Washout floors should be optional.

Base, BD, and BL could all have been collapsed under the BL trim level. Washout floors and MGV should be standard in Base, BD, and BL. Cloth or leather trimmed vinyl seats should be separate options for Base, BD, and BL. Carpet should be optional as well.

BL should have the lockers and swaybar disconnect standard. Squatch should include the swaybar disconnect, suspension, and lockers.

LUX package should remain available. B&O, Adaptive Cruise Control, and other driver safety software features should also be available ala carte at a slight premium over the package.

This would have collapsed 6 trims into two trim levels!!! So much easier.

If Ford goes to ordering like they're proposing, that will be the end of flexibility. You'll be able to order package A, B or C and that's about all.

What exactly is the difference between Base and BB other than 5 or 6 grand and you get a rear locker?

Base and BB should have been consolidated, and Black Diamond should be a "package". I like everything about the BD except for the stupid MGV seats. Complete non-starter in Arizona and 120 degrees out.

Wildtrack also should have been a "package", it's a Desert Runner Badlands with Sqatch.

OBX should have been a Lincoln. ;-)

Honestly it would have been a lot less confusing if they just built:
XL
STX
XLT
Larriat.

I'll take a 2-Door STX (best value in the lineup by far)

Dude I don't know what you're smoking but I want some. It's a $1500 (CAD) difference!

Auto makers like Base models for whatever reason, so it's not a surprise to see them. I 100% concur that BD could've been done with a package or two and an option or two on the second tier trim though. Wildtrak could have also been a package, but then people might've started asking why a V6 Badsquatch with mid costs >$6k more than the Wildtrak, which would've been inconvenient.

I've never understood the lack of color options. If they're not concerned with the interior colors matching any of the exterior colors, they should be offering a ton of colors. It's been done before.

pretty sure there are some impressive colors on this list.

it's sad when you go over the current color line hoping for one to stand out and none of them do. people prolly went over it 100x hoping for something to click

that will be the reason why green will outsell many and might be #1

$1500 snowbucks is about what, $1200 in greenbacks?

In the US:
Base: $28,500
BB : $33,385

So the difference is $4885 (about 6200 CAD)

Yah it's somewhere around $0.80/$1.25 these days, so 750 toonies is indeed 12 Benjamins.

So your Base is CAD $35,625 and your BB is CAD $41,730? That's about the same price as our BB (CAD $42,000) but you're getting an absolute SMOKING deal on the Base!!!

Now if you want a real headscratcher take a look at the prices for four doors up here:

Edit: Nevermind that's the auto on the Base pushing the price up. Adding the auto to the BB also puts it bang-on $1500 over the Base. Sure looks odd seeing the cheapest model cost more than the second tier though!

this dude just keeps coming around giving out hints about this and that about the Bronco but its time to shut the fuck up and just build them and stop talking about this color and this trim and this and that because Ford can't even give us a Bronco in the trims and colors they have now .people going get a boner over the new colors then find out they be a my23 order and the new colors won't be available.

How about upgrading the 10 speed from 10R60 to 10R80 Ford motor company
