Right so if you HAVE purchased them from us and you've already had Morimoto replace them once or twice or even more... please contact us direct by responding to your order confirmation email and let us know what's going on. We can probably work with Morimoto to get you switched over to the XB if you are still having issues with your XRGB.
I appreciate that. Im good with these until they go out again. At that point Ill be in contact and more than likely get these taillights at the same time.

perhaps I'm dense (and I will own that) but I want to make sure I understand the functionality correctly.

I have the OEM LED taillights. Currently, when I press the brake the outer light illuminates and when I activate a turn signal, the brake light stays illuminated and a center amber blinker starts.

These new Morimoto ones will operate differently. When I press the brake the center LEDs illuminate and when I activate a turn signal, they will switch to an amber blinker.

Do I have it correct?

I originally purchased from yall but have replaced them twice and was instructed to go thru morimoto direct. My most recent set has been on for a month and half or so. The last set lasted 2 weeks before faulting.
The same, the second replacement on the way. I like the look (amber halo) but don't like the quality. But looks like changing them once a year by warranty is an option :D

Do these affect the blind spot monitoring system?

IIRC the sensors are inside or very close to the factory tail light assemblies.

See this image for reference. The parking light on the XB Tails is the outer most ring. The Brake light are the 2 inner rings. When you are driving just the outer "ring" is illuminated and when you step on the brake the 2 inner ones turn on.

When you use your turn signals the two inner rings (that were used for brakes) flash. If you have OEM LED Tails, they flash amber for turns. If you have Incandescent Tails they will flash red instead.

Skip to 28 seconds to see them in action:

They are separate. Check out the video here:

Not at all. The sensors are in your bumper and have nothing to do with the brake light housings themselves.

I'm talking about the sensors for blind spot monitoring, not parking sensors.
The BLIS sensors are on the corners behind the fascia panel that you remove to install the tail lights.

My instinct is this swap shouldn't affect them, since they are lower profile lights. But it would be nice to have someone confirm that BLIS is working in a real-world situation with these lights installed.

It's been a hot minute since I took the tails off my Bronco (back in 2021 when I put the first Baja Designs reverse kit on). If I recall isn't the sensor in the lower part of the body panel or on the side? It's NOT part of the tail light assembly if memory serves me right. And since you are not blocking it there will be no issues. This actually sits more flush then the factory tails so it's not protruding past where the factory tails were.

Correct. It's behind the panel just below the light assembly.
I agree it probably shouldn't be an issue.

I hope we get some individual photos and videos soon from people that install them.

Not sure if you can see the individual LEDs or not? I do like the smooth light of the factory LEDs and hopefully these are the same.

Hopefully also the brake lights have greater output and our brighter
