New mounting bracket available for another unused space

Goes where the clutch should be but the website says lower or remove the glovebox to access the mounting location…

I think they did some copy/paste from their glovebox bracket and screwed up. Definitely don’t need to drop the glovebox

FYI - A standard CAT6 patch cable can be used - there is nothing special or unique about the Midland cable.

I’m trying to find a place to mount my Yaesu FTM-500 main body in my 24 Wikdtrak. It’s bigger than the Midlands. I tried for an hour behind the glove box no luck. I just got the M2M clutch mount to see if it fits there.
For those that have removed the center console how difficult was it?

Center console removal isn’t bad at all. Lots of plastic clips and a few bolts but not brain surgery. YMMV

Another mounting option is under the steering console - there is a nice flat plate that you can mount to under there (if it fits).

Have seen some people mount overhead on a Molle panel too. A lot of options out there.

I just threw mine in the glove box but did a similar stealth install for the mic. Nice to see they now have two bracket options though.

What arm extension are you using with your GSMR? I thought maybe it was 67 design but I can't find one that is specific to holding the radio. Did you by chance replace the back with a magnetic strip and use the mag arm?

I tried for ... lets just say 'more than an hour' and I did get a 50W ham radio to fit up there with the M2M glove box bracket.

I held the clutch bracket in place and it looks like there will be plenty of room using that. Very happy as this will save me a ton of console disassembly.
With the head removed from the body it will tuck into the Lobo Offroad Overhead mount nicely
