Looks like turn signal indicators may be incorporated into the tie down brackets along with a host of lighting possibilities.

They must have hired someone that worked at Chrysler in the late 60's. Those were a really nice feature on many of their models.
Yep I thought that would be a cool feature, I like the extra forward facing lighting too

They did that with Mustang in its MMR with thr hood turn signals (that nobody could see). These will be better, and an easy swap for 6gA Bronco owners.

Seems like I remember a hood scoop in some early 70's or 60's mustangs with turn signal indicators built in

I'm not sure how I feel about this. They ought to make them an accessory.
It might be an option, but I do like the extra forward facing light with the angle of the tie down will light up the area nicely

Yes, or could be an option
Seems to me that this eliminates 2 parts.

The need for turn signals integrated into the headlights, and the side marker lights in the side of the grill.
The side markers could be simplified into reflectors.

Well I think they are turn signal indicators according to the patent, only person who sees them are driver and passenger, not oncoming traffic

Here is a link to the patent for full detail.
HERE

sounds like a good option to have. Take out the stock stuff for more lights in the grill or whatever people dream up

edit: so it looks like the back of the new tie downs have readouts for data. Kinda neat! Gear number?speed? Configurable? Who knows!
