Since the tie downs are removable... it seems like a trivial matter to replace the existing one with one of these (with a harness that goes in-between the vehicle harness and existing light)
Just hope that the harness uses whatever connection points are on the hood. Wouldn't want a harness dangling unrestrained nor would I want to pay for a new hood just because of that little feature.

Seems to me this is probably for the Bronco Warthog?! ?‍♂ Would be cool for the regular Bronco but it reminds me too much of the position lights (amber lights) on the Raptor and every other brand that has a Mega Truck.

There is the vehicle harness that plugs into the light. The item the patent describes could simply replace the existing hood tie-downs, that vehicle harness plugs into it, and then the new tie down plugs into the light. Nothing to dangle.

RIGHT! I'm brain dead. I had the idea that the tie down was on the hood and not the fender. Thank you fellow Massachuvian.

You know, that's a good point - I'd imagine it could integrate the outer side markers.

If I remember correctly the 1968 Mustang integrated turn signals indicators into the extractor scoops first. Then Ford put them in the 2016 heat extractor scoops and you couldnt see em from the drivers seat.

A basic tie down becomes more complex and costly while adding functionality to the tie down that already exists in the dash and grill.

I really hope this is an option so I don't have to get it.

I'm seeing a light facing the driver that gets brighter if we accelerate too hard consuming more fuel than necessary ala 1970's era!

They must have hired someone that worked at Chrysler in the late 60's. Those were a really nice feature on many of their models.
I had a 69 Roadrunner that had them.
we also have a 67 Mustang that has them recessed into the hood.
