Here’s a few quick pics of my bronco, I took delivery today! The weather here is terrible! Pouring rain the last few days! 35’s fit surprisingly well! Zero rubbing in normal road conditions! I don’t even think they will rub much off-road! And they actually ride better then the standard badlands wheels!

Specs:

35x12.5x17 -0 offset Fifteen52 Traverse wheels 17x8.5!

Some Q&A:

Not to sure they were set at the dealership I’m assuming before I took delivery! I found the standard badlands wheels and ko2’s I could feel more of the road, cracks and bumps etc! Also I find the bronco to be higher of course, with hardly no sway like a jeep! The bronco is way better in every way! And everyone I talk to says they same! It looks and feels like a a truck or big suv more then a jeep!

Looks fine so far! Few of the ends look raw but looks fine to me!

Yes I removed the crash bars! Yea the braking is a little bit not as good but it’s hardly noticeable!

No level lift! It’s the factory badlands suspension, it maybe needs a level lift! But I think it will be fine for now until I get a more of a lift if I want to!

-0 offset, fifteen52 traverse wheels!

No issues at all!! Fits perfect

35x12.5x17 -0 offset fifteen52 traverse wheels!

17x8.5

The bronco can handle 35’s better then a jeep! Rides way better, almost zero sway! I drove both through town and on the highway! 110kmh, and the tech is awesome! Feels strong and tough!

I didn’t notice any power loss! The dealership told me to drop down tomorrow to try to recalibrate the computer for 35’s they emailed Ford and they emailed back and said they don’t know a whole lot about it yet and to try to recalibrate!

I didn’t notice any power loss! I have the 2.7 v6, planning on doing mild off-road until I upgraded the suspension! I’ll take more pics when I get the chance!

Yes fifteen52 recommend getting hub rings I have an aluminum set pick up hubrings 106.2 to 93.1

No sas just standard badlands!

Have you noticed if the tow package has included a tranny cooler? Also how well does it keep itself between the lines when using cruise, autopilot?

It tells me to have a break if I go over the lines, but it keeps me at the persons speed who’s ahead of me. Until I pass them then it goes to my set speed.

I have friends with explorers that claim that the car will keep itself centered and with adaptive cruise they practically drive themselves. I thought maybe the bronco would have the same kind of results. Any sign of a tranny cooler?

Oh you have plenty of power loss. These tires are 20 pounds heavier than the K02's (why not use the GY MT's only 1 pound heavier?) They also are .6 inches larger in diameter that increases rotational mass.
Ok 20x5=100 pounds of extra static weight. How about the 80 pounds of extra unsprung suspension weight?

I don't get it. Why not just buy a Sasquatch and have much greater all around performance with maybe a little less mud traction? That is if you ever go in the mud, and I bet it stops on a dime...

Your friend likely has an Explorer with lane centering, which is more advanced than the Bronco, which has lane-keeping assist. Lane-keeping will bump the steering back when you drift, whereas lane-centering actively works to keep the vehicle in the middle of the lane.

Additional sensors that apparently don't work with the Bronco design would have been needed for lane-centering.

35’s fit it well, now for hardcore off-road maybe a little bit more of a lift is needed! I think I’m going for the leveling kit approach because of my wallet for now anyway, but I have yet to get a solid answer for a leveling kit for the badlands suspension!
I’ve looked into the leveling and lift kits Thomas. At least the ones from Zone Off-road. The 1” leveling kit is compatible with the Badlands suspension, but the 2” lift is not (2” front, 1” back). It’s gonna take about 2-8 weeks before I get it. I ordered it today. I believe it’s been stated that the 2” level lift (not exactly sure on the height) from 4WP doesn’t work for the Badlands or a Squatch (“nothing with the yellow Bilsteins” I believe was the quote from the 4WP rep).
Hope that helps.
