Do those come in bare metal or are they painted gunmetal grey?
They come in a black primer. I tried to color match, and it went ok, after sandblasting and priming in epoxy and then 2k paint/clear, but then I decided to have them sandblasted again and powder coated in matte black.

This is gonna be exactly like their dome light. I was on the waitlist and got the email today they were ready to order. Went to the website as soon as I got the email and tit says they are sold out.

good news is the dome light project is done so they can dedicate manpower to this project now!

I monitored the light kit on their site daily and at some point a countdown was added to the page indicating how many days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the part could be ordered. I then made sure I was ready to add it to the cart and buy it when the countdown expired. Weirdly enough, the countdown was based on Eastern Standard Time. Since I’m in Central Time, it became available to order an hour before the countdown on the page expired. I checked back later and, as you said, it was already sold out. I never even checked for the email announcement (though I signed up for it). The part was delivered yesterday (would probably have been quicker if the ice storm here in Texas hadn’t shut down deliveries for a few days).

I assume they will do the same thing with the tailgate reinforcement kit so I’m checking daily to see when the part shows up and then I’ll be checking frequently until the countdown appears, etc.

I kind of wish we could just pre-order it and not have to deal with all that. First-world problem. I’m sure some would complain about pre-order delays, too. Is what it is. Taking my Bronco to Moab in late April so I’m crossing my fingers this kit is available before then.

didn’t Powdercoating require 100% disassembly?

It did...as in removing the hinges from the Bronco, but the hinge pin remains and the hinges themselves do not need to be disassembled. They come with the pillar brackets, but they are the same PN as the ones for the OEM non-Raptor, and the OEM ones are already matched to body color.

i assumed the Pin is coated in grease that would leak out during baking and be absent afterwards and possibly contaminate the powder.

Tired of waiting...... go with what @broncorik and I went with, and is the best way to go..... Raptor hinges, (or wait for Hammer Built hinges) and the HD Tailgate Reinforcement Plate from Hammer Built. Best designed plate by far, and "steel", which is what it should be. Talk to Troy at Hammer Built and you won't be disappointed.

Aren't Raptor hinges $300/each ($600 total) or was a less expensive kit released that includes them?

If you type the part numbers for the hinges in in Google you'll find that many places like OEM Ford parts.com will sell them for about $193 each even though they list at about 300 each... So with shipping and tax you'll pay just over $400 for the pair. Tyson is actually working on steel hinges that are similar design as the Raptor hinges, with a built-in 90° stop, but I'm not sure how far out those are.
