New Ram TRX. Trans failure after 2000 miles.

Shit does happen, but it doesn't matter if I make the world's best / most durable hardware transmission available, IF the software controlling it is trash. Vice versa is true as well, it's tough to fix hardware problems with software.

Some OEMs have the suppliers calibrate the transmission, other's have a dedicated internal team to calibrate the transmission to each engine. I don't know how FCA/Stellantis is set-up.

EDIT: To my ear it sounded like he was getting a lot of transmission slip, at the moment of failure and the limp-home drive, and the transmission was trying to protect itself and would dump it into neutral.

Many of the few hundred TRXs are having huge issues from exploding diffs, overheating of all kinds, missing bolts, shocks not mounted properly and sooooo much more.

That guy admittedly didn't know how to shift it and the times I saw the gauge cluster, it looked like it was close to redline almost the whole time. Definitely user error. Probably did it on purpose with all the bashing he did on the car.
