Great question, this kit is NOT designed to replace your factory 3rd brake light.

The red backlight with this kit is classified as an "accent" light and has not been approved to replace your 3rd brake light on your Bronco.

However, our engineers are hoping to offer a product in the near future that meets legal requirements!

Is anyone else having the hitch mount fooling the bronco into thinking there is a trailer attached? This is on a factory 7 pin connection.

Yeah, it's awesome but not for me since I leave a hitch on year-round.

My use case for this:

1. Replace shitty looking stock brake light
2. Add the additional feature of a backup/night light when loading
