Hi all. So my boss doesn't care for the 255/70R16 Bridgestones his base model came with, and he's looking at either General Grabbers or BFGoodrich K02s. Anyone have experience with either of those, good or bad? He'd prefer something quieter on the highway, as he won't be doing much four-wheeling (although there are a lot of bumpy dirt roads around here).

BTW he's keeping the stock wheels, but he's having them powder coated gloss black like the 17" steelies.

Thanks for your advice!

I got KO2s. They are not as quiet as stock. Just warn your boss. These are AT vs. street wheels. Overall I like mine because they are quiet for 35s and AT.

Noise, rough ride, prone to blow outs. Poor wear
can be difficult to balance.
just to name a few

I haven't used an all-terrain TA in many years, because once you get a hole the belts rust and shift. And I've had that happen on at least two if not three sets. I finally got a little tired. Not to say others might not do the same but I've never had that problem again.

In all fairness, that's 10+years ago when I switched.

Stock Badlands KO2’s have been great on and off-road for the last 14-15k miles.

This is my first-ever off-road vehicle, but we had it in the mountains yesterday (just long gravel/dirt roads) and the Grabbers were spitting rocks for many miles on the freeway on the way home. I was concerned about my new Bronco’s paint as well as the paint/windshields of the other drivers around me. Is this a Grabber thing or an A/T tire thing?

KO2s for sure. I’ve had two Jeeps with them and the ride is great. They also take a punishment, which also helps.

I've had both and would consider them essentially equal. I think generally Grabbers are cheaper. A good size to consider using the stock wheels would be 265/75x16. It' ll give him a slightly taller wider profile without any of the big tire drawbacks. It will be essentially the same look as a nonSas Black Diamond.

I would say both are pretty on par, I just prefer the Grabbers because EVERYONE has KO2s...

And I think the Grabbers look better.

BFG has a new tire now called the Trail Terrain T/A. They build a P265/75R16 (roughly 32") and it kinda has the same look just milder. I am going to try them on my base if I ever get it as I am not much of an off-roader either, mostly hwy and some dirt roads. Not much out there on them because they are a new product but you can find a couple good reviews on Youtube.

Mine came with the grabbers but they’re 17s. I already replaced them with 315/70/17 toyo open country and love them. Makes the bronco looks so much better. My 5 Grabbers have 300 miles on them and are looking for a good home if anyone is interested?
