I noted on the old photos there was enough room for a big spare in the bumper cut out but not under the brake light. Maybe they had to cobble something together for the big tire test and didn't want the cobble showing
They probably just had some left over vinyl wrap scrap and someone had an idea lol Is that another brake light on the bumper under the tire or a reflector?

The 3.8 v6 in the Wrangler was 237 lb-ft of torque and turned the 33s of the Rubicon and the 3.6 is only 260 lb-ft. In the Ranger the 2.3 is 310 lb-ft of torque at much lower RPM so although there could be a bigger engine for this trim level it's definitely not necessary to turn the 34-35" tire.
Hey that’s me! My wrangler is 3.8, manual transmission, and the stock 3.21 gears and I’m running true 33’s. (285/70r17)

Is it slow? Yup. Is it unbearable? No. Totally fine. People are just spoiled nowadays.

LOL. My EB has the mighty 170 I6. Actually accelerates surprisingly well with 4.56s but tops out at about 60 mph.

Thoughts on the hood height - might there be a pad on top of the hood under the covering? Seems a bit high, but hard to tell with all the camouflage what's really underneath.
NewBroncoHoodHeight.jpg
I hope it matches the '66 - '77 fenders which are higher than the hood. Heres mine with an aftermarket hood but you can see how pointy the stock fenders are

My cars spoil me... whenever I drive the wife's Focus, I actually get frustrated with how slow it is. I told her the next car is going to at least be faster than my slowest car lol

These here aren't photos of a frankenranger, this IS a Bronco. It's camo'd up, but it's definitely not the frankenragers that were rolling around last year (and last week)
[/QUOTE]

Yes I know, they are different what I am saying is that everyone photographed the Frankenrangers but the camoed bronco photos have so far seemed to be released by Ford with no real candid shots

I’m with ya nick. 3.8 manual But on 35 s. I live in jersey and do a lot of highway driving and have never had a problem but if I’m gonna back up the truck and go all out on the bronco 300 hp just doesn’t cut it. I’d probably just keep my Jeep and look at a mustang or something else to scratch that power itch. I just sure would like to have it all in a one vehicle package

This "rugged" version looks good to me so far, isn't this the first suv ever offered from the factory w/ 34" tires. (Except something rare like a Pinzgauer)? So what motor is expected in this "rugged" version? Any info on that yet?
Rumor is the top of the line version will have the drivetrain from the Aviator Hybrid: 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft. 3.0TTV6 & 16kw Battery integrated into the tranny

I’m afraid of that price tag but that would do the trick!

They are offering it this year in the XLT trim levels, and from what I have seen they have held their values fairly well. It being a new truck I did opt for the 100 thousand mile warranty but very few have had big issues with the truck. Early on there was an EGR recall but other than that it has been perfect. I have driven the gas burners and the 2.7 plus the 3.5 liter. The 3.5 liter eco boost barely cuts the mustard in the F150 engine choices. I found the 2.7 liter turbo motor to be very under performing in the lariat crew cab and up f150.

I believe the 2.7 liter twin turbo would be fine in the mid sized bronco but having around the same displacement size as my STI motor but moving twice the weight is not a fun prospect in the F150. Funny story is I got into a discussion/ debate at the dealership with a 6.7 liter Power Stroke owner complaining that he was only getting 16 mpg in his F250 Superduty. I as well as the service advisers told him that the F150 diesel returns 25 ish more in 2wd form, I feel 440 ft lbs of torque to be respectable but with some of these motors making 1000 HP and 900 plus ft lbs he laughed and said his wife would like that truck. I was like okay yeah mine does, but enjoy those 100-150 dollar fill ups and the maintenance costs are higher on the bigger diesels. I usually spend around 50-60 bucks on a fill up (range is 600-700 miles), and 80 dollars on an oil change but you are not changing the oil till 7-10 thousand plus miles. They want it changed every 5 thousand but the oil monitor computer goes to 7-8 thousand sometimes more depending on conditions.

Tell me about it. This is my current offroader. 60hp. With proper gearing I can maintain the speed limit. Any of the Eco boost engines will feel like a rocket for me.

Anybody else questioning the headlight reveal versus what we are seeing now?
Is it possible that there’s part of the grill that overlaps the center of the light?

Since it's the "rugged" version it probably has it's own headlight style. Kinda like on the Explorers. The XLT has chrome lights and the Sports have black lights.

From everything I'm seeing the 21 F150 won't have the trucker style window notch, it'll be more like the new Expedition.
If true that would be a shame considering what they invested in their last truck release.
