Can you wait until dealers get their initial allocation estimate before final ordering and see if they will give you a hint or direct answer of where you fall in that number based on your reservation?

It seems like every rep has their own conflicting info. People need to be careful and not lock themselves in too soon. There's still a lot of time for Ford make more changes.I just changed my reservation and was adamantly told by the rep that this was a one time change. I tried to tell her what is on this forum but she didn't budge.
I received same message when I changed my dealer last weekJust got off the phone with Ford to move my reservation. (I'd been meaning to for a couple of weeks and finally did it.)
The woman I spoke with made a point of reminding me that the dealer could only be changed one time. She said they'd been made aware that other information was being put out on "some forum". Not sure if she was referring to B6G or BN.
It's of course possible that a change has been made and just not been passed along yet, but she did make a point to tell me this without my asking. If you're thinking of changing now and possibly a second time later, you may want to hold off until we get some additional confirmation direct from Ford.
What concerning factors?I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Service. Maybe this is hot off the press but they did confirm "just today" that they will allow another transfer. I had actually transferred mine about a month ago to one of the less than invoice options but due to several concerning factors, want to switch back to my local dealership I originally made the order with. The only catch is that it takes 7 to 10 days now to complete the transfer as they changed their process. They said they would contact me at the time it goes final. For that reason, I do highly recommend you only do it when you are ready and can have the luxury to wait up to 10 days. I think an advantage to this new system is that it would discourage multiple dealership changes in short timeframes, which I really can't blame them. Obviously waiting until December to do so would cause problems in the order stage. I hope this helps folks that still are unsure or had recent confusing info.
That 7-10 day thing is big if true. That could catch a lot of people off guard if they decide to make a change late in January.I just got off the phone with Ford Customer Service. There are other threads where it was reported that smaller dealerships are going to have a hard time delivering Broncos as timely as a larger dealership. My reservation is likely on a cutoff date (I made my reservation about 6-7 days after announcement) between what they are calling "Wave 1" and "Wave 2" and I want to be sure I get the vehicle on Wave 1. I am simply trying to increase my chances, even if I have to pay a little more to get it as early as I can... This concern was just brought to my attention yesterday as well and I have a few posts asking more about it.What concerning factors?
Right, I specifically asked the rep about this and told him I am an active member on the forum and that there were some that said they had called and couldn't change. He gave a little chuckle and indicated they were just told the would allow a 2nd change today (I think he even said afternoon but maybe he starts his shift in afternoon). I called about 4PM Eastern.... so yeah very recent news.I received same message when I changed my dealer last week
OK. Thanks for the information. I got my reservation at 12:30am on 7/14 so I think I should be good. There are other threads where it was reported that smaller dealerships are going to have a hard time delivering Broncos as timely as a larger dealership. I would say if you reserved the first couple of days, you are probably good either way. I just have to be more careful with where I chose.
I’m not sure that is possible. Can you wait until dealers get their initial allocation estimate before final ordering and see if they will give you a hint or direct answer of where you fall in that number based on your reservation?
Fair enough. That's the plan.By moving back the 'change date', they kinda cut into that ability to some degree.
Go in on December with your B&P and find a dealer who will give you a fair deal. Any premium add-ons, leave. Once you find a place - call, switch, order, sign, done.
Hmm, not sure but it's definitely worth calling that 800 number back to ask. Seems like a good case. Keep us posted.I made my second dealership switch this Monday after they said they would honor x-plan like pricing for me. I made the switch and then got a call later that day stating that it was a mistake on their part and they will not honor our agreement. With that said, can I switch again?
I just did one this morning, I was connected to a Bronco specialist at Ford, the update online on my account switched within seconds while still on the phone with Ford to confirm. I got a notice email from the new dealership within 10 minutes. I also got an email from Ford your Bronco reservation has been updated. For people that switched dealers, how long did it take for the switch to process before showing up in your account?
Thanks. Mine hasn’t gotten through yet but she did say she had to enter it manually due to it being an order and having to convert it back to a reservation.I just did one this morning, I was connected to a Bronco specialist at Ford, the update online on my account switched within seconds while still on the phone with Ford to confirm.
