My wishlist:

V8 Engine. (duh)

A real tailgate with power rear window

Ford Bronco Next Bronco 7th Gen tailgate-o

A bench seat

A better folding rear bench seat (something to give us more flat space in the rear), that is also easily removable.

Ford Bronco Next Bronco 7th Gen 1027-1

Column mounted shifter

Ford Bronco Next Bronco 7th Gen s-l640

And maybe cooled seats

It probably took 5 years and billions to get this generation out there. Therefore I think the current Bronco will be out for quite a while(10 years if I had to place a guess), but probably with a few engine, transmission, and drivetrain changes over time. I suspect half of the current gen broncos sold will end up being plug in hybrids by the end of this run. Most likely the hybrid versions will be comparable in implementation to the hybrid f150 just because that would be the route of least resistance for Ford, but obviously you can't cut and paste an f150 powerplant into this chassis.

As for next gen; technology trends tends to drift from expensive cars into cheaper ones but with more robust and simpler implementations. The ruling class is obsessed with phasing out gasoline so Like it or not it will probably be an electric vehicle first with a lot of features copied from the rivian, the hummer, and the cybertruck. Personally I don't expect the suspension design to change much(conceptually), but 4 motor AWD standard with front and rear steering on a sled frame seems like a given. I suspect there will be a hybrid option, but that the option will basically be a glorified bolted on generator with a small gas tank for an exorbitant fee.

The powers that be want us all riding in leased self-driving 5000lb golf carts. So be it.

Something Ford can deliver on time would be a sick feature.

It will end up as a neutered crossover like the Blazer and it's brand will be forever tarnished. If Ford were smart they would leave the body style alone and make minor tweaks each year, add colors options etc. similar to Dodge Challenger
