from the article:

Every Bronco, after all, shares the same bones: a good old-fashioned body-on-frame skeleton with a proper low-range four-wheel-drive system.
But after a week with the entry-level Bronco Big Bend, I’m convinced that any other Bronco is, by and large, a waste of money.

yeah, a little harsh, but if one is not rock crawling at Moab, overlanding in the north west or riding the Rubicon Trail.. then yes... it is more than adequate....

Well, I might do some moderate rock crawling in Moab, overlanding in the Southwest and doing some Rubicon-lite like trails and my non Sas BB is still enough

Although those days are long gone, my 2022 Base Sasquatch 2 door was a super great deal at the time when I reserved it at the reveal, even though I could barely afford it. I thought so at the time comparing it to Wrangler Rubicon. Those days are long gone.

Today agree it is the Big Bend- that is the one I would buy if I needed to replace my base and came across extra $$$.

Taking away the 2.7 and cloth seats has pushed me and others to higher trims…glad I got mine before that happened…really just wish I had kept my base order….

Well, I posted this before I read the article. When he said entry-level I thought non Sas. Now I see the tested Bronco was a Sasquatch, so yeah duh, it's as capable as any Bronco save maybe the Badlands with the disco sway bar.

Well my standard HE is based on the BB so sure, BB is the best (for me)! So far, there's nothing that I'm missing from the other trims that are keeping me from enjoying it and it's already capable overkill just using it for daily transportation with the Sasquatch package but what the heck right?

Agreed, although they still concede it would be fine without the SASQ
I added a lot of other features to my BB, so the SASQ was just cost prohibitive for me...

The fourth major option on my test vehicle? The $8,460 Sasquatch package, which includes wheels clad in wide 35-inch 315/70/17 mud-terrain tires, Bilstein shock absorbers, more ground clearance, and an automatic mode for the four-wheel-drive, among other rock-crawly bits. It is alluring – it boosts the off-road potential, and the ‘Squatch’s wider tires give it a more aggressive stance that suits the Bronco. But the non-Sasquatch version is plenty capable, and going without those wide tires is better for fuel economy; the regular Bronco gets 22 mpg highway to the 'Squatch's 18.

Yep. I only added roof rack and 4.27 locker to mine, and much, much more since :) . At order I debated long and hard about a Base Sasquatch vs my Big Bend for about the same money. I made my choice and I guess the jury's still out, but I'm happy.

Back when I made my reservation (got MSRP pricing) - I wanted to get a Wildtrack....then Badlands....and settled on a Big Bend. I only regret that I did not get the BIG Radio screen option. I did get the Sasquatch Package though. I had a front skid plate and absolutely no other armor underneath. If I had to turn back time.....maybe I would have chosen the sway-disconnect option too. But - all things being equal, I would still have gotten the Big Bend. I literally learned SO MUCH about upgrading and "tooling" on the vehicle because I did add RCI plates....Eibach Springs...upgraded sound system....added sound deadening...and SO MUCH more I can't even list. It's made me appreciate and love my Bronco even more as the years have passed, as opposed to getting bored of it and losing interest. Very Happy till today and the foreseeable future! Next upgrade will be KINGs and UCAs. No desire to get a Raptor at all. #gobronco
