Yeah, I always wondered why Nissan didn’t push the Patrol in the North American market. Seems like it would be good competition for Toyota Land Cruiser. Probably too small of a pool of customers. I had a 2002 Pathfinder and it was a great vehicle. I think Toyota beat the Pathfinder into submission with the 4Runner, which is when they gave up and transformed the Pathfinder into what it is today. Nissan should call it the “Highlander Wannabe.” Legend indeed…

It is. We are talking about the addition of the Pathfinder here though and the need for another small to midsize suburban type SUV. Whether the Sport is selling well or not, it doesn’t really offer anything new to the market except to offer people the Bronco name without any of its off-road capability (beyond what you can get in any other suburban vehicle)

I think it’s three rows and more competition for the pilot, but, now there’s the Hyundai, Kia, Subaru and VW newish three row suvs, so that’s an over saturated market also.

meh, an other one where you have to get up close and find the name tags to know what brand it even is, all designed in the wind tunnel. Which makes sense and is utterly boring. No competition to the Bronco or Wrangler.
