Im getting really excited. So happy to see that update Mo posted.

Im told Im number 28 and to see they confirmed 40 allocation makes me happy.

Only 7 in the first batch puts me on the other side of mid MY21 deliveries but I'm okay with that.

So September/October.

You get what you get and you don't complain.
I'm just going to say this one more time......

Who are you? And what have you done with the old grumpy @brocotect?

What is CAFE and how does it impact Sasquatch? I googled 'CAFE Sasquatch' but that took me to coffeeforsasquatch.com

I'm not going to google this, so I'll get a few things wrong...

CAFE is a USA fleet fuel economy regulation. Auto manufactures have to meet a fleet-wide average of 35mpg? 55mpg? (can't keep up with all the changes). If they go under, they have to pay fines. Some auto manufactures buy credits from Tesla, as they are over the arbitrary mpg regulation.

Since a 2.7 Sasquatch Bronco is going to get a real-world mpg of 16-18, probably a stated 19/20/19 (all guesses on my part!), it will drag them under the regulation. They will limit the builds of these to keep fines to a minimum.

Edit:
I read on the forum the Sasquatch constraint is 20% and some factories/manufactures calculate CAFE on a weekly basis. That would mean, only 20% of the Bronco's built every week will be Sasquatch. At that rate, with 50% of reservations? orders? (forget which) opting for Sasquatch if feels like they will be building the ones from reservation holders into 2023! I'll have to figure that one out, i think we have all the variables...

3104 broncos is 5.1% of MY 21 allocation.
100%/5.1%=19.6
3104*19.6 = 60,862 MY21 broncos
(20% Sasquatch / 100) * 60,862 broncos = 12,172 Sasquatch broncos for MY21
12,172 / 6months = 2028 Sasquatch broncos build per month.
With 3104 dealers, that's 0.65 broncos per month per dealer, or about 1 Sasquatch per 1.5 months

At #11, with 50% Sasquatch uptake, that puts me at #5.5 of Sasquatch orders. That would stretch me out to build month 8.25, assuming the 50% take rate includes FE's and WT's.

With 100,000 orders?, that's 50,000 Sasquatches. If the total build volume holds out, meaning 2028 Sasquatch per month, that's over 24 months of builds to get through all the Sasquatch orders.

It would be a serious F*ck up on the part of Ford to A. release Sasquatch and B. push Sasquatch (as indicated by so many pre-prods being Sasquatch) and then be unable to fulfill 75% of the orders. With my new found knowledge of what CAFE is...that seems like something they should have known a year ago based on 2.7L performance / expected weight.

So hopefully the situation isn't as bad as it appears or they have some sort of plan to correct quick

I agree, and since this scenario isn't a supplier parts issue, they could build as many as they have parts for.
When Ford reported conversions, I recall them being surprised at how many Sasquatches people wanted. Rubicon sales are about 20% of Wrangler sales. I can see Sasquatch being a similar percent over the next 5-10 years. I think Ford forgot that the enthusiasts would be a majority of reservation holders and the percent of Sasquatch would be higher at first.
I think we'll see a price increase in '22 for Sasquatch and 2.7 to reduce demand and cover CAFE costs. They already said they will honor '21 prices for reservation holders.

You all have to remember that the build rates early on are far lower (daily/weekly/monthly output) than they will be later. Hence, a dealer allocation will likely climb significantly as they are able to build more units and, hopefully, secure more components.
