No Email but Dealer Shows Estimated Build Week of June 14th?

My sales guy just texted me to ask if I received my build date email yet, which I haven't (no spam folder, nothing). I asked if he saw any update on his end and he said they're seeing an estimated build week of June 14th.

Possible that scheduling is happening but emails aren't going out?

I don't think folks in Canada receive a notification email on this and it's sole up to the Ford dealership sales people to let you know this info.

I could be mistaken, but this is what it sounded like compared to our neighbours to the South.

That would actually track, as I'm in Canada and I don't receive half the communications that everyone else is getting.

I don't think folks in Canada receive a notification email on this and it's sole up to the Ford dealership sales people to let you know this info.

I could be mistaken, but this is what it sounded like compared to our neighbours to the South.

Ya, it sucks what a difference there is between the two countries. I guess the silver lining is we aren't all waiting for an email Thursday because the dealership could likely follow-up any day of the week.

Yep, bunch of us up here have gotten the word from out dealerships but I haven't heard of a single Canadian getting *THE* email.

I wonder if the Canadian orders schedule with Ford the same way they do in the USA, now that I'm thinking about it.

I think we all assume it follows the same "Thursday afternoon" timeframe, but maybe not? Not sure if there's any Canadian Ford dealership employees on here that can maybe chime in?

1. ford notifies dealer that you are going to stage/preproduction.

2. dealer should call and notify you.

3. ford emails you at some point after with vin and date

you are at stage 2, i would expect if your dealer got the notification from ford you are on deck.

In chatting with my dealer, it doesn't seem that Ford notified them. He just seems to be checking in on my order now and then. He was able to provide me the VIN number about 3 weeks ago.

so my understanding is:

In same boat. Got a build week from my dealer but no official email/VIN from Ford. Wondering how common this is.

crazy, my dealer has 8 in the pipe now but no official vins issued. i'm not in the pipe yet. i guess when they say notify it is available in the dealer portal.

so that may be accurate, its designated as build but no official customer notification. most likely dont want to communicate an official date to customer and have that slip.

My dealers response when I asked about a build date was "no. It will be built but no build date yet. All car companies are in limbo right now with production".

As far as both my dealer and I know, Ford Canada has not sent out any emails with regard to the build dates. All information is coming out of the dealerships unlike our friends in the States.

I’m not in Canada, but I got a phone call from my dealer either the Monday or Tuesday before receiving my VIN email on Thursday.
