You’re right but being able to afford insurance for two cars unfortunately is a thing of the past.
I'm carrying full-coverage insurance on 4 vehicles. It's not a thing of the past, you just have to know how to work their system to get the best deal. Am I thrilled at the cost? No. But I'm also paying as much for 4 as some people complain that they're paying for 2...so I'm doing something right.

For now that probably would be the ticket, although the complexity of gasoline and electric motivation in a hybrid is less appealing. A gasoline Bronco and reasonable cost EV urban commuter type car would be a nice combo at least for my household usage.
Hybrids don't have to be overly complex, even to have a mild hybrid. We had a Ram 1500 eTorque (admittedly a 'mild' hybrid), and the few times we let it use the electric motor...you couldn't FEEL when the gas motor started back up under normal takeoffs. It was ridiculously smooth.

I have a Bronco Badlands and also own a Rivian R1S. I absolutely LOVE both vehicles. ICE, Hybrids, and EVs are all tools in the automobile toolbox. Not every tool is right for every job. I hate the EV debate so much. EVs (or hybrids) work for you? Great, use it. ICE work better for your purposes? Great, use that instead. Just because YOU personally wouldn't own the opposite platform doesn't mean it's not perfect for someone else's use. My personal experience is people with very strong opinions against EVs have never driven one. It is possible to see the purpose for something but not have that purpose yourself. I'm so surprised people think it needs to be black and white...we can live in a world of gray till that's not possible anymore.

Me, PERSONALLY, would probably not want an EV Bronco. I would own a hybrid if they were available and not overpriced. I DO own a 16mpg Badlands Sasquatch that drinks A LOT of dino juice and it's my favorite vehicle I've ever owned.

At the end of the day a company like Ford is going to do what is in their best interest of making money. I highly doubt that will include an EV Bronco anytime soon, especially with the lack of sales for their other EVs.

I expect if anything a Hybrid will be added as hybrids are gaining momentum while EV sales are sagging. That said I'm not sure if Ford will be investing much more into the Bronco as they are barely even producing 2025's.

As a 392 owner, yes, there should be an 8 in the Raptor at least.

I was hoping that Ford would look at Jeep and see that the 8 sold on ok amount and do the same thing, even if they did a 5 year run of it like Jeep (assuming the 392 is ending this year).

If they put the 8 in a raptor, I'd get one in a second.

Though I'd also not mind seeing what a hybrid Bronco could do either. Wouldn't really care if they put out an all electric (though I am interested to see what happens with the scout).

Why would you want an EV with no Fed Tax credit anymore? I say go with the V8, because we're gonna "Drill, baby, drill!" and drive the price of gas down. Woo-hoo!

put a hybrid in the sport or bring back the Focus/Fiesta line as a hybrid. Leave the big toys alone.

This was the case for me. I mentioned before that I was deciding between the Bronco and the new Toyota 4Runner, and I was strongly leaning towards the latter given my fantastic experiences with two previous Land Cruisers.

Since I'm here, it's obvious I went Bronco and my reasons were the following:

- Added complexity of a hybrid (even though Toyota has been building them for years)
- I have learned to stay away from 1st year, complete redesigns (Toyota has recently had their own quality issues.
- Not great reviews about the hybrid powertrain especially on the new Land Cruiser
- I preferred owning a V6 at a minimum

Now I'm not kidding myself, Ford has and continues to have their share of quality issues, but hoping that the Bronco has had a few years to iron out the early teething issues they experienced early on, especially with the disintegrating vales in the EB engines.

That and I made sure to buy an extended warranty.

I think a hybrid, done right, would be amazing. Not sure Ford has it in them though. There are a lot of benefits beyond fuel economy here - low end /idle instant torque is the biggest one I can think of, but not the only benefit you could bring.

Not sure I would want a full EV option though. Batteries are heavy. You don't need much to get big benefits in a hybrid config - just not sure Ford has the chops to do it well.

It should get a V8, you wienies should buy a Prius.
Finally a voice of reason has entered the chat. Thank you.

Of course it should've had a V8 from the beginning, and just offer the 2.7l turbo for the girlies  No need to have ever tossed in a 4 banger.
Nice to see some folks that have a clue!🍻

Yeah, should say ‘22. It’s one of those first edition models. Wife really wanted the red that was only available with it. Even a great little truck.
I see you changed it to '22, thanks, that would have bothered my OCD. :) Rapid Red is a great color on the Mav and as you said only available on the '22 First Edition.

I really don’t understand why they didn’t replace the starter and alternator with a simple hybrid motor like RAM and Volvo does. Even with a small battery pack it seems like an easy way to deal with mpg and as others have mentioned the start/stop function becomes transparent.

For 0% Financing, I had to give one a try. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the ease of use and comfort. It’s the best of both worlds for me.
