I'll just be glad when auto makers wake up to listening to what the customers say they want.

Nowhere other than a few markets did the "American" consumer say that we want EVs. I think hybrids are just fine, particularly when paired with a V6, but full EVs just have too many issues to consider on a regular basis; I did try one a few years back and liked some elements, but overall was a "no".

I get Europe's desire to move to EVs since urban areas are tight and car dependence isn't as high as the Americas and Mid East or Africa. For car dependent areas, just focus on efficiency of the gas engine and harden your hybrid tech with stronger materials that weigh more, but last. Ever see the weight of these EVs? Well, I don't want to hear any arguments on how heavy vehicles are any longer.

Better plastics please, stronger components, that's where the R&D should focus these days. Just my opinion, but keep your EVs.....
