I can see it happening for a few months or maybe the caveat that you won’t get a vehicle till next Spring, if Ford is serious about getting a reservation ordered filled in a timely manner.

i really thought it was general rule of thumb for every car dealer, if they tell you something it's not true.

No way Ford does that, that would exacerbate the ADM issue.

Ford Customer Service 800 # said as of this past Monday "in order to continue to prioritize existing orders no new orders will be taken until existing orders are scheduled.".

Not really old news as this was posted by Ford a few days ago but yea, no new retail orders. If you already had a reservation, you are being prioritized. If you do not already have a reservation, the only option would be dealer stock.

I am hopeful that this means my order can finally get going, but I am guessing that the dealer allocation will still be an issue for many of us that are sticking with the likes of Granger.

Instead of 50,000 new retail orders and 50,000 new dealer stock order, instead we'll see 100,000 new dealer stock orders. It changes nothing.

So yeah, if you at Granger or SAC, you're still probably screwed, I guess?

Just was notified by my dealer (yes I know this is a my dealer said post) that they received an update from ford that they will not be opening up MY23 retail orders at all. Yes I know they said they wouldn't do it in September and they would provide an update in Q4 but this dealer is saying they received an update that they won't do it at all. Can anyone confirm?
Maybe for that dealer specifically or maybe because he’s trying to sell you on what he has on the lot- but there is a zero percent chance they will skip over an entire year of ordering a vehicle.

I think it’s more than that. Introducing COVP will reduce the number of orders that will convert to 2023 which will speed up our build.
This 💯 will give Ford a better idea as to how many and what trim need to actually be produced because backlog is full of phantom, multi orders, and flippers. That way they can determine supply and time line to finish production.
