There is no way Ford can fill the orders they took from 21-22 and have them all done by October Plan on moving to 23 till they get all the 21 orders done. MAP is only capable of making 160k vehicles per year and at the rate the Broncos and Rangers are rolling off the line they aren't even close the max production.

My response to the underlined below is:

Here is my $10500. Give me my pack of Stallions bay bay.

Until supply is fixed also limit one per drivers license and credit application
I donā€™t disagree.
Iā€™d guess many Bronco buyers are married so that really just limits them to two per household, or in my case, four per household if you have a couple college aged ā€œkidsā€.

That is true but maybe not every wife or college kid would want their credit ran with the intent to purchase a new bronco. Maybe even limit to household. Something has to fix the overflow and craziness.

Ford is maybe trying to give more priority to older reservations with no VIN such as mine from 7/20/20 but with them having only build about 100,000 so far(who knows how many have been delivered); the supply/demand will be out of balance for at least another 12-18 months.

The supply shortages are not unique to Ford, many other cars such as C8 Corvettes are still going for $25k+ over MSRP used and have a 12+ month wait for a new one.

Oh yeah I totally agree with getting the older actual orders done first prior to new, just wondering once multi and flippers can be weeded out it will help clear the backlog and give a better idea as to how many actual legitimate orders there are. I also think COVP bypasses allocation in some manner or at least it should and maybe thatā€™s why itā€™s being implemented.

I don't think the total number of multiple orders are as high as people think. Not including dealers that may be trying to game for stock- I bet it's less than 10K customer orders which would clear up about a month in a 15+ month backlog for higher trim levels. This is still about constraints and dealer allocation.

Do we have any info on roughly how many unscheduled orders exist at this time?

... "according to my dealer" COVP does not run your credit until you're actually finalizing purchase when it has been delivered to the dealer.
You do have to fill out a credit application, but it's only to show intent and is not run until the finalization process.

But of course, "my dealer said"

This news just hit my YouTube feed last night. Iā€™d long berated myself for not holding onto my 2021 VIN after becoming disillusioned with build date #6 being cancelled. Gotta say I am glad I pulled the plug when I did. Been enjoying my ā€˜21 JLU like mad since August of that yearā€¦. but to all those with the stick-to-itveness to cling to hope for the last two years that you would finally see your early reservation builtā€¦. Well, cheers mates. I have seen a handful of Broncos out there (only in cities though, nothing on the trails or even back country roads). The two doors ARE pretty. The four doorsā€¦. Mā€™eh.

2023 Model Year Changeover is happening soon. Due to shifts in 2022MY production schedule, the previously communicated date of August 15th for the 2023 MYCO and order bank opening has been adjusted to September 12th. In order to continue prioritizing early order holders, we will not be taking new retail orders when the 2023 order bank opens. Prospective customers may still be able to purchase a Bronco from dealer stock orders, which we anticipate will be available in limited quantities on lower demand trims and options. We will continue to monitor the order bank status throughout the process and will provide an update on the retail order bank opening in Q4.

All remaining unscheduled 2022MY orders will be converted to 2023MY and will require verification via the Customer Order Verification Program (COVP). Unconverted reservations will be required to be converted to orders and will also require verification.

Everyone with an outstanding order that was BEFORE bronco COVP, needs to make damn sure to get with their dealer contact person and make sure they get all of your information needed to them well before Nov. 14th, otherwise you will be SOL. If you've decided to not take delivery of an order, have the decency to tell your dealer to cancel your order. AFAIK, they won't be able to roll it into a free "stock" unit if you don't COVP before Nov. 14. It sounds like Ford is trying to tighten things up to help cut down on abandoned units and dead reservations.

I think I've seen most pages on this thread but didn't see this nice piece of information. If you placed an order without a reservation and do not take delivery of a MY2022 build, you will lose your price protection if you are converted to 2023.

With that in mind, it would seem that Ford has a decreased financial interest in building the MY2022 for non-reservation orders placed after March 19, 2021. Doesn't matter if you placed a non reservation MY2022 order 10/2021 or right before the 3/2022 cutoff. Ford's gonna see who really wants the Bronco come September with the added mid year and 2023 price increases. Hope they don't screw over the reservation holders too.

Unfortunately, I think youā€™re correct. Iā€™ll have to see how much more my MY23 build will be and then make a decision. If itā€™s more than around $5k then Iā€™m probably out. I think it would be unfair of Ford to do that to everyone who ordered past March 19, 2021 who has to go to MY23 when itā€™s Fords fault they couldnā€™t build a vehicle in 20 months!

Flip, what does SMART Vincent mean?

Phil can explain it better than I but I will give it the college try.

When your dealer pulls up you name in their system the Smart Vincent will show all discounts available to that person. So If you have been through this process since the beginning then it will show the first price protection going from MY21 to MY22. It will also show other incentives available.

The wife and I just bought a 22 Timberline and when the salesman put in her information and pulled up the screen I could see right away in red my price protection. I believe it was triggered by the same e-mail address.

So when you see the term Smart Vincent think of price protection. If this is wrong someone will correct me.
