I’m surprised that the Raptor is only slightly quicker than the 2.7 F150 Ecoboost and I believe the Ecoboost is quicker than the Coyote in the F-150 so, No V8 necessary in that respect. The TRX is pretty damn impressive though trapping 110 in a massive pickup. Not something I would spend $90k on though.

I agree. I you want to purely burn rubber, but the new 1000hp Hummer electric. 3 sec 0-60, $1500 in tires every 9 months, otherwise you can have fun with 2.7 or the 3.0 Raptor V6. Again, you will never compete with the new electrics coming out for instant speed.

They already have the aftermarket tune of the 2.7 F150 from 300/400 to 400/500 but would not see the need to negate the warrantee of a brand new Bronco. I did see somewhere that for $400-600 Ford will be offering a tune of 35+hp that might might be interesting and covered under warranty. I bet the tune would increase hp by 10+% and involve earlier power shifting and push the fun factor up a notch. Definitely on my buy list.

As long as I can pop it onto the highway and pop it to pass a truck at 70 mph, I am good with a 6 with 35" tires.

Yep me too, pleasantly surprised by my steps sons 2.7L. Thought it was quicker than the 6.2l.
Ford never marketed the Rap as a drag machine. Ford has a bolt in engine on the shelf with more power than even the Dodge if they feel threatened.
The 5.2L supercharged, 760hp & 625 ft# from the GT500.

Well it's pretty much what I expected, at least. You still in the market or did it miss the mark for you?

Waiting it out. Hope to get a ride in a somewhat "built" 2.7/auto 2 door in the next year or so (out on the trails). See if I can put up with turbo lag in moderate to semi-hard core crawling. Meanwhile, fixing my 79 crawler up with adj height suspension. Thing is just too tall, hence the reason I rolled hard.

Will be real happy to see new Broncs out on the trails either way. Last 8-10 years or so, if it wasn't a specific bronco event, I was stuck wheeling with Toy's or Heeps. Hope a couple on here plan on a 40 or better rig, looking to get back at it with some bronco brethren...........
