Why not get a Jeep 4xe Sahara? It will handle dirt, probably mud and sand. Should be easier to put big tires on, partially electric so way more reasonable fuel economy...
I traded my 4xe Sahara in for a badlands that will rarely if ever see hardcore off-roading, but the two are not
comparable the Bronco is leagues better. Bronco interior is far more spacious, comfortable, better screen/infotainment, Bronco is much safer, handles leagues better, and the vinyl seats/washout interior is awesome. I got the badlands just because it is the only way to get MGV with Lux and would gladly do so again

Nope I have had mine since January and we have done hidden falls twice, off reading through mud and visit to the beach. I have used rockslidwers and under armor a few times already.

First two pics were from this weekend d and the third was first time out in March. All smiles! Poor wife in the back each time getting tossed around. She is a champ!

Sure ill get some damages but hopefully nothing major so far ao good

Plenty of reasons to buy a 4x4 vehicle that don't involve rock climbing, for apparently "fun".

AZ has a lot of roads that are "maintained" in name only. I bought my wife a Jeep Cherokee because she kept taking out the oil pan of her previous car because she couldn't stay out of the ruts on our street. (which was signed as 31st Ave) A lot of folks got to my street and turned around because they thought it was a wash.

We also have plenty of Forrest Service roads and Power Line Roads, which while "technically" roads, may not have actually had a Cat driven down them in the last decade or more. We even have some state highways which are dirt up in snow country, with single lane bridges (traffic has to take turns).

Anyone else treat their Badlands same way?

My guess is majority.
Mine is about to go into the shop to repair rock damage and beef it up for even more rocks. I bought this thing to take me and my family places I have never been. Just finished an 3100 mile road trip that included a trip to Moab. When it breaks, I'll fix it. This is my adventure vehicle and I intend to use it for everything it was designed to do, including taking me to places like this...

I have no intention of rock climbing unless I have to do it for some apocalyptic reason. I am off-roading in the Blue Ridge Mountains this week because the cabin we rented said 4x4 only. People commented that they got up in a regular car. I think they were lying. I had no trouble in the Bronco, but there is no way I would frequently do that. Part of the road was washed out and the angle was pretty steep. I'm a flatlander. Give me sugar sand and mud any day.

Got mud covered. Rocks were in the low part of the wash.

Should check out the Aptera. I saw that and it's the first time I've considered an electric vehicle. Not sure if they're in production yet.
Theyā€™d be ready in 2 yearsā€¦ 15 years ago. Donā€™t hold your breath.

Same for me! Sounded like a fun adventure though!

Just because I wonā€™t hit rocks doesnā€™t mean Iā€™m not impressed with those that do. That was impressive. Iā€™lll live vicariously though you haha

There is a lot of dick measuring in the off-road community so expect to be called 'Mallcrawler'. I dont give two shits. Mine will see minimal rock crawl (unless an obstacle during overlanding)
