They come off easy with a custom socket. Wheel locks are useless. As someone said they only keep honest people honest

Not to burst your bubble, but these only keep honest people away. I know of several methods to take these off, and have removed these without the "key" before for friends and on my own vehicles.
Yeah, but they won't let me booby trap it so I'll roll with these. They're cheap and if I can at least annoy a thief with them for a few seconds I call it a victory.

There are universal tools, but I've had to break one hunting in Mexico when we got a flat and couldn't find lug key. A solid hit from a hammer did it. One swing. Your're trying to sheer the bolt. Bolt will need replacing, we drove home on 7 of 8 lugs.
Interesting. Thank you.

Locking lugs were the first thing I did to mine. If someone wants something bad enough their going to get it. A thief isn’t going to be banging on a wheel with a hammer or a saw, they want the easy score.

any vehicle i get with these locks on are removed the first weekend. if they want my wheels. they will just take the whole car. so rare to see a car on blocks these days. i would must rather be able to change a tire without the extra tool that could be misplaced. lol, since my wife will be using the bronco for work. that spare is all by itself. okay, i'm rethinking this now.

Thieves use battery operated reciprocating saws all the time to steal catalytic converters. They are loud as hell and echo and whine like crazy on metal tubing. You wouldn't even notice a hammer hit. And truth be told, you can use a beater board too so you don't have to hit metal to metal.

I noticed I have been driving around without the locking nut key since I picked up my truck. Popped open the package to grab it and there was a locking nut still in there. Went out to the Bronco and they didn't put one on the spare for some reason.

Is there a good reason they left this off or did they just forget? I would think the spare would be the one most likely to be "liberated".
I ordered mine with wheel locks but didnt receive them. I am guessing the dealership supplies this part or were there wheellocks in your vehicle when it arrived. Already told the dealership and they know, but it was late last night getting out of there and I told them I would come back next week for the wheel locks. Just curious if you knew, I looked in all the compartments and didnt see any locks so thinking the dealership provides them.

Not unexpectedly, I can find what appears to be the exact same product available separately on Ford's Accessories web site.

https://accessories.ford.com/products/bronco-2021-chrome-plated-wheel-locks-for-exposed-lugs

What is very odd this that on the Accessories web site, it's only $69.99 — cheaper by $20.01 than the cost of having it included from the factory.
Yup, this is why I didn't include it in my order. You can even get the same parts less than that from some of the dealers.

"BREAKING: Deadbolts on your front door don't stop someone from breaking a window and stealing stuff anyway. More at 11."

I don't think anyone ever tried to insinuate that wheels are impossible to steal with locking lug nuts. The goal is to reduce convenience by adding extra steps or hurdles.

You select a socket that fits tightly over the lock lug.Tap it on with a hammer and use the ratchet to take it off like any other lug nut. As was per stated, it keeps honest folks honest. I definitely use them. I figure if some low life wants my wheels they have to at least work at it. Plus, the noise from the hammer may introduce them to Mr. Mossberg. Click, click.
